dao Posted June 16, 2009 Author Share Posted June 16, 2009 ok well i clearly hate eclipse's night time. its extremely laggy.. instead of making a fringe layer over everything cant it just make a darker shade of stuff? or is there any way to make this not so laggy.. anasky Posted June 16, 2009 Share Posted June 16, 2009 You might be to do this:Make your tiles all together on 1 tilesetMake a new one with the same tiles, but darkerand where it says If GameTime = TimeNight (or something like that, check 'If Hours > 24') you can switch the tiles from all maps and all X and Y to the new tileset.Switching would lagg a bit, but then it works fine. In fact, I used this system myself.@ Zultar, Eclipse uses an ancient night time system originally written by Oscar. You can still see it in the old MS backups.
