SawQuart
A carpet would really work. It would make it appear less wide open.
xeross
That's a damn big room, create multiple small rooms, and maybe change the houses shape, or make the house smaller.

Ruins of Hell
@LaurenciaX:> Where can I find them?Search through your tileset, I think RXMP (default tileset) might have some.Otherwise, you may have to find them or make them yourself. xeross
They are autotiles, but the converted version might be somewhere in the interior mapping tutorial posts.
Dthen
A poor house would be smaller. It would also look more detailed if it was smaller. I say shrink it a bit.
Anna Comnena
Yeah you don't need to use the whole map for interiors, it's easier to manage a smaller room. For example the little map screen Xeross posted to show the wall trim tiles, is a good little interior map. It's a more complicated room than yours for the most part but is much smaller and yet still has good pathing and detailing.
Drummerpete
Like everyone said, it doesn't have to be that large for what's there.Make smaller intricate maps, sometimes harder to do, but worth it.

ddunit
I don't like your RMXP mapping, Xeross. :(Anyhow, think of it.If you have a large forest 10 maps big, and a house 1 map big and that small cottage in your forest taking 12 tiles, there's a problem.
