How can I get a custom-source client?

Alright, I need a client that has some source edits in it for ES.  There isn't a source request forum, unless I post it in the source questions section.  The only thing is, there are a few source edits that I want (Like…4 or 5) and I doubt someone would do them all for me.

I could just ask for one, but the thing is, once the client is compiled, I don't think it can be re-edited, so you have to start with a fresh new client again to add another source.

I'm just wondering because I don't want to post in the source questions thread and then get flamed because it's in the wrong section.  Is there a place like script request, but for source?  I can't seem to find anything.

(Oh, and before I get people telling me to learn it myself, I don't have VB and can't afford it at the moment.  Also, I would rather wait until the maps of my game are done before I start on source stuff.)

I beleive that you can keep recompileing the client over again. Best bet is find someone who has vb6 for your team and they can just keep recompileing as you go along. It is not hard to then switch your map folder and graphcis over to the new client.

as long as you save the source you can recompile over and over again.  ;D

I don't have it saved.  I just have the compiled client.exe file with the source already in it.  Does that mean I have to redo it next time?

If your game is going to need source edits then you or someone on your team must get the source version of stable and edit it with vb6\. However all your work is not lost as pretty much all of it can still be transfered over to the new version you make.

if you just downloaded the source off the forum and did nothing to it the vb6 file will be fine and if you edited it it asks you to save it

If you change the source and want to change it later, you had either better have the changed source saved, uncompiled, or be willing to do it all over again.

You CAN'T edit the source with client.exe. You need the SOURCE version.

No decompiler fully works for VB6\. If you open up a VB6 compiled .exe you'll see why, little of it is actually VB6.

There is no fully-working decompiler. Unless you are suggesting he makes his own decompiler, which is hard, seeing as no one has made a fully-working one.

That'll only get you the forms. This isn't .NET. Code is actually compiled properly.
