Olimar72
K, so I'm using Eclipse Stable 1.2 (Big Client) and when I try to play music from the map properties menu… Nothing. No error, or anything, it just doesn't make a sound. I try double-clicking it and clicking playtest. The SE is working, but not Music. Help please! SawQuart
Turn off mute?
balliztik1
Yeah, sounds like your MIDI volume is muted. Depending on your sound card/settings, you should be able to right click the speaker icon in the corner, and choose volume settings, or something like that. Most likely, there will be a bar called MIDI Synth that is muted. Unmute it.

Baaleos
Im having this issue too.My midi synth volume is max, and I can hear music through media player.MP3 and Wav files play through the client, just not midi.Im on a macbook, in bootcamp, I have itunes and windows media player installed, recently uninstalled ace media codec package.I will try tinkering with some of my media programs to see if they are interfering. Jaz
Is there a resolution to this yet? This seems to be a problem with the Big-Client, as the regular client plays just fine.
Dark Crusade
Use Origins.
Jaz
How about a resolution for those using the Eclipse-Stable big client?
Dark Crusade
Eclipse Stable is no longer developed. Its inferior to Origins in pretty much every way also, so using Stable is just… silly.
Admiral Refuge
For the record, Eclipse Stable does not support MIDI playback, due to using the fmod sound system. So yeah, you'll never get midi playing in stable with anything short of recoding the source to use VBMP or something.
