Shadowbane Posted July 23, 2010 Share Posted July 23, 2010 900 x 900 is the best way to go for the initial design, at least.That way when working on it in Photoshop it can be split into a grid of 9 squares. The upper three should always contain the header and perhaps upper navigation, the middle three and halfway down the bottom three is where the content and sidebar area should be, and the bottom half of the final row is the footer. When doing a two column theme with a fluid footer, header, and navigation, it also works to put the content in the left two and the sidebar in the right.I _might_ have a go at this.
