kibbelz
Hello, i have seen this done in a few games where they protect their gfx ect by replaceing it with a file which cannot be opened but only buy the person who set them up and they will still work eg as map tiles ingame. I have looked arround for this, Any help?
Kool_dude4ever
Well i dont know if this is possible, but it could be a good idea to try..make an FTP account at a webhost (such as 000webhost) then create an account and make a new website. Then get the FTP details, then make a connection in filezilla, then make a folder called Game (optional) and put all images therethen you could make the client connect to the FTP server to get the imagesbut this is just an idea; i dont know if it would work. Harris6310
There are so many ways of getting around file security, there really is no point.

What you are describing however, has actually nothing to do with protection. The file is most-likely encoded in a different file format than the standard formats. That simply means editors won't be able to parse it properly, but an editor specialised for such specific format can parse it.Regards, Stephan.
