Guest
OK OK OK OK OK OK OK OK OK OK!!!!After what seems like years of indecisiveness and hustle and bustle, I have finally come to the FINAL sprite model I will be using for Dark Bushido. This is a very retro 8-bit type sprite. (I have divided the sprite into different colors so that I can differentiate what is what, sword, hair, haori, etc.)This is not the final project, but the base I will be using for my game. After becoming extremely addicted to an indie game I have been playing on the 360, I have modeled this sprite to be similar…I plan on switching back to a more retro feel as I think the theme along with my storyline will fit well together.[![](http://I.picasion.com/pic39/e1b123d31d058a7dfc5b29e6c01ca16a.gif)](http://picasion.com/)[make avatar](http://picasion.com/)[![](http://I.picasion.com/pic39/52e15258d4ef71abbf55577a8e9f1c08.gif)](http://picasion.com/)[gif animators](http://picasion.com/)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z0Mv1Yau0w
dthnote801
It looks pretty good. Granted I'd change the color of the haori, because yellow is a bit flamboyant for a samurai. Then again, that's just my opinion, and I do realize that it isn't the final project.
Irhymer
I completely agree with the 8-bit style! Can't wait to see more ;)-Jake
Guest
Since I am going to use Miguu's multiple frame system and not the standard eclipse count, I will add more animations later in the week. Walking and attacking will be a bit smoother, and there will be a jump/fall sprite.Stay posted ^^

Guest
Put all of the animations together…Let me know what you think!I need opinions...As of now, I only have one attack frame. Since this is a retro game, I suppose I might be able to get away with this. The only problem is, when a player holds CTRL, the character will just stay in the attack position. It doesn't really bother me, but for the appeal for the player, I wanna know if you guys think I need to add another frame.Watch the video, you'll see what I am talking about.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_z0Mv1Yau0w
