[EO2.0]Help> Incorrect Password

I am using Eclipse Origins 2.0 and having problems with some accounts

by now,I have two players trying to login with his CORRECT password but still cant login cause it says 'Incorrect Password'

I check in account editor and is everything fine,the login and pass was right and still,even me,cant login

I try changing the Password but still,says 'Incorrect Password'

Anyone can help me?

These players are realy strong and they will stop playing if I dont find a solution

I had thesame problem before, I deleted the accounts and then it worked.
But that might not be the right solution for you I understand, I don't know something else to fix it.

try negociating a pasword reset with them, use your account editor to "reset" (change) thier password and see if that helps.

yeh,this is what I did but,will cause much work

copy a screen of status> delete account > delete name >re-create over again

Its a lot better a fix to this never happen again

man..I am aiming in playerRec
that * name_lenght… Think that is screwing up but this will need a wipe and players will not like at all '-'

I remember two accs with this problem

acc 1:
login:rafa_killers
char:Rafa_Killers
password length is 6

acc2:
login:eufuiclonado
char:Haruninho__
password length is 6

Looks like " _ " is the problem

what is your guess?

but .. Cant be cause there others players with ' _ ' and they are just fine

Make another account and make the account name twelve letters, pick any password. Can you login?

I've noticed a problem with if you have 12 letters in your username, your password becomes the last letter in you account name and then the regular password.

Example, if account name is: "AccountNames" and your password is "Password" the working password will be "sPassword", test it out and see if that's the problem. I don't know how to fix it though, lol.

That was what I was thinking, it's a classic buffer overflow problem. Anything more than 11 will serve as the start for the characters' password. A simple server-side check of the name's length should suffice. I remember Robin posting a fix somewhere but I can't seem to find it (nor the thread it was in).

Why not try removing the _ from their accounts and try logging in?

Lighting account editor doesnt edit the login

I try manualy rename but the login is still the other
