aaaron
You should try putting a border around the bank, item, and trade.
SawQuart
Put a dark-ish shadow behind the text. I think it would look good.
Jaiden
Ahaha I know exactly what tutorial you got that from! ;)It looks pretty good, some things could use a little work like perhaps your font choice. But it's still pretty cool.
beckymegan
@Aaron, I'll add that later today :)@Jungle, Which texts would need shadows because most of them have shadows@Jaiden, I did use a tutorial :) That totally makes me a cheater ;D
Robin
Looks really bad. The GUI should be simple, sleek and not draw attention away from the game. That fake 3D shit will look _terrible_ with your ingame graphics clashing so badly.
SawQuart
@Robin:> Looks really bad. The GUI should be simple, sleek and not draw attention away from the **gay**.lolwut

Scribbyz
I agree with Robin. It's nice and all, but its to much for such a simplistic game. The only opinion I can give ya is, just start over. Try making multiple GUI's and see which one works best; hell, you can even post them here and see which draws more to the player.
beckymegan
Got it guys :) I'll begin work again in the morning. I am still learning, so thanks for those of you who offered critism, thanks. And I will redo it in the morning since you think it's to busy.
Jaiden
GUI design is really difficult. It will take you tons and tons of tries before you get it right. Just keep at it and you'll eventually get a result you're happy with.Robin is right though, the fake 3D isn't good. Get rid of the bevel/emboss and maybe play with different texture types. A 1px outer stroke is your friend.
tsuki
Man, try to use cold colors and with low saturation.Don't try to use fake 3D. At most part of the fake 3D, the gradients looks horrible because the people don't use the proper textures.Try to do something simple. Look at the existing GUIs. Robin
A good technique is to load a screenshot of your ingame screen in to the Photoshop design.Once you've got the actual ingame graphics in there you can start towards matching it. You can't design the GUI separate and expect it to match.
beckymegan
Ahhh, ok. Thanks Robin, I'll try that :)

shadowdeath
That's what she said.Just joking. But yes, it is quite true.
dxxknight
I agree ^^ but I can't say I hate it though it's better then I could do but yes like Robin stated before keep the GUI simple and not so Eye catching it takes away from game-play. Other then that keep trying, you can't make everyone happy but if you can get the majority then your good to go. ;)
Solidize
The wood you have used lacks originality, thus, looks generic. Please consider creating a GUI from scratch rather than fetching images from other sources. If you need any help, be it questions or advice, don't hesitate to ask.Regards,**Solidize**
