I am now recruiting staff!We are currently not paying anyone but if the game generates money then payment will be discussed.We are using Eclipse Final Froniter.If you have any questions please PM me or email [email protected]I am Recruiting VB6 Programmer - You need to be able to add features and fix bugs to Eclipse Final Frontier. Basically you need to be skilled in VB6.Game Designer - You need to be able to make decent sprite sheets, tilesets, GUI, etc.Video Animator - You need to be able to make good animated cut scenes. Music Composer - You need to be able to make some nice fantasy music and maybe some eletronica/dubstep.Story Writer/Quest Writer - You need to write some captivating and intriguing story.[UPDATE @[member="Cici"] has joined] We don't need any more writers but are willing to accept another one.Mapper - You can make nice looking beautiful maps. I am also going to be making the game its just hard with two people. You can see what position I am filling at the "Our Team" section of the post. I can't be annoyed with you because I was in your position when I started out.Get the engine you prefer, and start from scratch. Don't write a story, use RMXP graphics, and use the built-in features. Know those forwards and backwards and then you can enter a real serious game with confidence.Continuing where someone left off is terrible practice. Colonello Posted April 6, 2015 Share Posted April 6, 2015 I agree with Naayte. Make the game that you want to make. Don't use others work. Not to mention this could cause a legal problem. A fine example of this is Craftbukkit. One of the coders who started out in the very beginning quit the team and years later when Craftbukkit was sold to Mojang he expected payment for the code he put in it and this legal battle is still happening today. What I'm saying is whoever you got this game from (unless there are legal documents showing it was given to you) could technically sue you down the line if he feels he deserves something. GalacticGlum Posted April 7, 2015 Author Share Posted April 7, 2015 I got the IP from a friend he had to quit we hadn't started anything we were 1 week in but he had to quit.I didn't continue anything I'm making my own story, that art is mine, I got a designer to make a GUI I am coding features.The IP is just the name I have a written statement. I will be starting a project thread soon (hopefully).I will most likely be posting concept art every 3 weeks as that is usually the time it takes me to make these art (with the exception of the painting which took around 4 and a half weeks to complete fully because of school and such).
