NED
So, this might be a stupid question and since I'm no Robin I can't tell.Whenever I edit the gui .png files, when I enter the game they lose the transparency. What must I do to maintain the awesome dx8 effect?
Beanie93
Make sure you're not editing them with MS Paint. Use Paint.NET, Gimp or Photoshop.
NED
You're a life saver^^I was editing the graphics with MS Paint. Thanks for the help :D
Likestodraw
@NED:> I was editing the graphics with MS Paint.Yeah paint isn't the best. It works for just playing around on and maybe if it's the new one it'll work for making banners; but I never use paint for anything other than playing around on and VERY basic resizing. I would have to agree with 8; GIMP and/or Paint.NET are what you should be using. I have to disagree with Photoshop unless you already have it; but you probably don't since you're using MS Paint.GIMP:Â Â Â Â Â http://www.gimp.org/Paint.NETÂ Â http://www.getpaint.net/
NED
Belive it or not I already have CS5\. It's just that in the older versions of eclipse I edited everything with MS paint(no dx8 :x) and I got really used to it plus I find it better to editing pixel-size pictures then CS5\. I installed Paint.NET cause I'm used to paint's tools and got my gui edits working just fine.^^Thanks for the help.
Taegan
But surely you know MS Paint is nothing like Paint.NET. o.o
Harris6310
If you've got Photoshop or Fireworks, I suggest you use them, they're very powerful software.
DemonzDwell
I think Pencl is Paint.NET's Daddy.Dont get me wrong paint.NET is good but it isnt as simple. Also you can try photofiltre.
Jeff
I use photoshop and gimp. Gimp for pixelling, photoshop for everything else. One thing about photoshop that I don't like is it doesn't snap to pixels(to my knowledge). If I'm wrong please tell me, I'd love to be able to forget about gimp.
