whittenator25
Okay, I did everything that the tutorial said. I got my IP adress form IPChicken, I put it in the config, made my file a zip file and sent it to my friend. I portforwarded TCP 7001\. Now its saying server is currently down? How can I fix this? Ive tried using the no-IP website and it still says that on my end and my friends end.
renzo
Make sure you only have one server running, multiple can mess with it.I would suggest restarting your computer then try running the server and clients again. Also, make sure your friend has extracted the zip file to his computer. Robin
If it says it's down it can't connect meaning the port forward screwed up.

Techos
Well, make sure that you'd portforward BOTH tcp/udp 7001
Ruins of Hell
> HeartHunt3r:> Well, make sure that you'd portforward BOTH tcp/udp 7001Irrelevant, Eclipse Origins uses TCP Port 7001.

gregnator
Learn port foward and if you dont want people to see your ip go to no-ip and give your no-ip ip to the players or put it in the config
whittenator25
Did all of the portforwarding and even did the No-IP but still when i change the IP to my external IP adress it even shuts down the server on me. For some reason at the top of my server it has a weird IP adress that starts with 10.0.0.X
Muffen
The weird IP address is your internal IP. It is just another, "version" or whatever you want to call it. The No-IP program would not fix your forwarding problem. It is simply there for people who have IP's that constantly change. No-IP is not only for people who don't want there IP shown. Honestly you can't do anything with someones IP, except find there general location. You can't even find the address.HeartHunt3r, no you do not have to forward both. Unless you are trying to run a Minecraft server. With Eclipse you only need to forward TCP.
