emblem
Like Robin said, [follow the guide.](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,68399.0.html)I'm on Win7 and it's working perfectly, ignoring the fact that it messes up Aero. :POh also, in compatibility check the box that said Disable Desktop Composition, on the VB6 exe. Jeff
@Tylian!:> I'm on Win7 and it's working perfectly, ignoring the fact that it messes up Aero. :PI have win7 and aero runs fine. I'm running 64 bit x86 if it's relevant. The only time I have problems with aero is when I run VB6 and it's slow, or sometimes when I fuck up the DX7 code in EO. emblem
Haha it's because I disabled desktop composition on VB6.It caused the Form editor to lag like hell.
Robin
Origins was developed solely in Win7 x64\. I haven't run a copy of WinXP since Win7 was released.Disabling desktop composition will fix any IDE lag from running Aero.

AlexKuttner
I have a VB6 problem too, followed Robins guide but i get this error, and there seems to be no valid locations…
emblem
Make sure you're running it as admin.
Robin
Run every single file as admin. Although you don't even need to install the JavaVM. You can make a blank .dll file and spoof it.
AlexKuttner
just ran it separate and it worked :)edit: i was following Robin's VB6 installation guide but he didn't mention this error so that's why i asked :)
