KanjiRune
So, as far as I can tell, I followed the proper download requirements for Origins. I ran the "Run First" runtime files, I changed my server port to 7003 to avoid whatever weird error 7001 was giving me, I opened the client and entered the new localhost server in port 7003\. I have the server up when I use the client. But every time I try "using" the server with the client, I get "Run-time Error '55': File Already Open" and nothing happens. What did I do wrong? Mohenjo Daro
Go into task manager and close all the EO servers, you apparently have one running
KanjiRune
What would the server be labelled as? I swear I just combed over the task manager and couldn't find it.
GalacticGlum
Did you check running process? The process name would be Server.
BeNjO
Or easier just reboot your computer :)

KanjiRune
So I did both things - rebooted my computer, checked all processes - and still nothing. Still 55\. Every time I run the server it says it can't connect to the auth server - is that related? Am I supposed to have the client/server saved under something specific? GalacticGlum
Odd.. It would be best to take a screenshot of the error!

Note that I went back to port 7001, hoping maybe switching to 7003 was the problem. I made sure to change the server options in turn, no worries there.>! ![](http://i.imgur.com/rUewet8.png)Aaand there it is. :v Nothing running except the server I just set up. I'm assuming I did something stupid? I hope I just did something stupid.
GalacticGlum
Simple fix! Don't use EO 4.

Nate Melo
*facepalm*Did you redownload everything and place it into a different folder - try running it from a different spot after extracting it into it's own folder on your desktop or something?
