What line of code did it highlight?

Although I understand where you're coming from, it's very unlikely that will help him (it's quite obvious already what the error is).

OP: follow [this guide](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,68399.msg736833.html#msg736833), more specifically, you must follow Step 3\. Then redownload your source.

Irrelevant. The answer is here:

And by what he meant by "harder to work with" was that he would have to download an extra file ([here, step 4](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,68399.msg736833.html#msg73683)).

You are welcome to continue your conversation with me as long as you keep yourself civil. Ad hominem attack are not permitted. In addition, dropping names will not work with me; I do not care.

You are incorrect under the assumption that the reason he has trouble compiling is due to the fact he is using Visual Basic 6 Portable. That is irrelevant to his issue. Never did I say it was impossible, and never was the issue that he was not using Portable. In fact, I said it was possible (see the link in my above post). **This step of the guide links to the same link you posted.** You are absolutely irrelevant in your assumptions as well as your conclusion.

The problem is he has not installed Visual Basic 6 Service Pack 6, which installs the proper dependencies. The OP states:

> i have the portable one which seems to be harder to work with from what i have heard

The portable one is harder to work with because you must install the extra file (which you linked to).

**To reiterate, I never said that he could not use Visual Basic Portable, because that is irrelevant. No matter which version he used, he would need to install Visual Basic 6 SP6.**
