Jeppe
What exactly do you need variables for?
Mohenjo Daro
Player variables are used for a one time event per player (so giving every player bread once), self switches are used to make an event do something once (like a chest), and there's another one that you can assign a value, which is good for a counter (like give out 5 bread)
Essence
I'm doing this for quests. But how do I make them?
jcsnider
They are pre-made. Open the map editor, create an event and you should see a button to view/name them on the main event window.

jcsnider
You can set the max via source I think. I don't know about EW but in EO2, EO 2.3, EO3, and EO4 I had like 500 or 1000 so you would never need more.
