jcsnider
If u don't have vb6, get and install vb6… open ur client find Running_speed and increase it. Then click file and make to save your new client.exe.View the "Official Guides" section of the forum for more info reguarding vb6 and aquiring it.(No 2003, 2005, 2008, and 2010 will not work it has to be vb6)
Stein
> open ur client find Running_speed and increase it. Then click file and make to save your new client.exe.Or switch walk speed and run speed around. Otherwise you'd be walking and running at some pretty insane speeds :PBecause by default shift switches you to a walking speed. God knows why Robin decided to do this, but whatever. jcsnider
Because in REAL mmos that he had played.. u run by default and then u have a button to sneak or crouch around which isn't wrong… just probably not the best for eclipse.
Stein
I'd rather rebuild it so running decreases a stamina bar that increases by gaining agility to be honest. But eh, Robin's idea of a "Real" MMO is a tad skewed.
peanut0070
Thanks guys, while we're on the subject. How do I allocate a button to be the run button? Is it already shift and i just can't notice it?
Stein
It already is shift(in EO and the Event System), but it slows you down by default. In my edit you can freely assign it though.. So it really depends on what version you use and what settings.
jcsnider
Follow my first reply. That is how to make ur shift button be used for running and not walking
Joost
If you want to adjust speed, I think you have to increase it by 4\. Walking is 4, running is 8, and if you want something even faster I think you'd have to go with 12\. Otherwise shit gets fucked up.
Stein
I believe Robin said increments of two, so steps of four would also work.
peanut0070
So i've opened the EO client and can't find running_speed.All ive got is forms, modules, and class modules.
Stein
It should be in modconstants, under the modules folder.
