Janito
why when I press shift my character does not run?
BeNjO
I think shift is walking :)``` ' Check if player has the shift key down for running If ShiftDown Then Player(MyIndex).Moving = MOVING_WALKING Else Player(MyIndex).Moving = MOVING_RUNNING End If```
Janito
where do I put this code?
BeNjO
That code is already in, Most eclipse games now run by default, Holding Shift will make you slower (walking).
Joyce
That's code he plucked from the source, basically what it means is that when you hold shift you'll start walking. Without holding shift you're sprinting. If you turn the WALKING and RUNNING around you'll walk by default and sprint when you hold Shift.

Joyce
If you look for the following code:```' Check if player has the shift key down for running If ShiftDown Then Player(MyIndex).Moving = MOVING_WALKING Else Player(MyIndex).Moving = MOVING_RUNNING End If```and switch around MOVING_WALKING and MOVING_RUNNING in the client it should work, if I recall. Mohenjo Daro
First off, if you don't have a copy of VB6 (Visual Studios 2008, 2010, etc. will NOT work), then go find a copy (pirating is "bad" but about the only way to get it). Second, install VB6, then open the client.vbp with VB6, and finally, do what Joyce is saying and then click the File tab and click Compile (then save over the old client)
Janito
and if I want to increase the speed?
BeNjO
```' Speed moving varsPublic Const WALK_SPEED As Byte = 7Public Const RUN_SPEED As Byte = 7```Just look for walk_speed as byte and change them, Your numbers will not be the same as mine as I changed mine for ease of development.
