jcsnider
Oh, it is your damn norton security. Allow Eclipse through its firewall. I had that issue when I was trying to help you. Should fix it. (Then remove norton - it is awful!)

Joyce
It's still a program you can uninstall, and then you need to find some tools to properly remove it, because Norton is a virus in itself in a way.

fernz123
It is open in the background. Open your task manager and go to the processes tab. Find the norton process and end it. Then you should be able to delete the files. You can also go the control panel and go to change/remove programs and find norton there.
Kaejer
I believe the most recent version of Norton does not allow you to close it through task manager even with administrator powers. I guess it's a way to make it so viruses can't stop Norton even if they tried. I believe I had to remove Norton by going Control Panel -> Programs and Features or Uninstall a Program, find it in the list then right click and uninstall it. jcsnider
Try running your comp in safe mode and uninstalling it there. (From Programs and Features) that way, norton is not running and cannot protect itself.
