    Faces

@Kaejer: > Alright, well I tried that and it didn't work. However, I have faces 1-3 and 200-211\. Is the issue because I don't have 4-199? Yes, unfortunately faces is one of the things where the current graphics engine makes little sense. You could just swap the numbers (like make face 200 into face 4 and then swap sprite 200 with sprite 4, doing this for all sprites). Alternatively, you could rewrite the graphics loader for the faces and just make it load all the files in the folder (check out CheckFaces). Of course, the program would then have to load 211 DirectDrawSurfaces, unless you modify that as well.
  2. @daxterxx: > Program them your self. [Nicer Eclipse](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf2/index.php/topic,81176).
  3. @Celph: > Okay so I tried deleting the items in the /edititem command menu and that didn't work because the server still crashed when I hit save. Next, I took a clean 'items' folder and replaced it, however that did not solve the problem, the same error persists. Just go to the server folder and remove all the items. Then restart the server. If that doesn't work, can you post your ItemRec for the server and your ItemRec for the client?
  4. Look at existing edits to the source code. Implant them. Try and find out why they work. Also, you can call it programming instead of "script/source".
  5. You have to delete all your items. @Rydo: > Well basically I'm new to this stuff, but I guess it may be clashing with the command, so I suggest you find the code for /edititem and change the command. No.
  6. The problem is the smf/ directory redirects to smf2/'s homepage. I've fixed up the Tutorials page. Does it work now?
  7. @GameMaster: > I get this error when trying to run the client. > > Run-time error '429': > ActiveX component can't create object Read [this guide (link)](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf2/index.php/topic,68360.0.html).
  8. Just use "/editmap". The .map files are the cached versions of the map used by the client to provide quicker loading times.
  9. @Kajamaz: > PLEASE! I KNOW THIS IS NECROPOSTING, BUT DOES ANYONE STILL HAVE THESE? There is no necroposting in the Resource board, but I doubt anyone has these.
  10. > PS : I do not know if you knew, but there are many many French user of eclipse origins, why not make a category France? English: We need a moderator who knows a lot about Eclipse and can speak French. Otherwise it will be hard to give support and make sure forum users are not insulting each other. Français (J'utilise un traducteur): Nous avons besoin d'un modérateur qui peut parler français. Sinon, il sera difficile d'apporter un soutien et assurez-vous que les utilisateurs sont gentils les uns envers les autres.
  11. @Kaejer: > I feel bad that you're going through so much trouble for this for my game. You seem to be krazy good at writing stuff out so people can read the important information though. Are you a teacher or have you just been doing this for a long time? Don't feel bad, I'm volunteer and if I didn't enjoy helping people I'd just leave. I've been doing this for quite some time, but I'm not a teacher. @Kaejer: > Oh well, I learned a LOT about server and client side stuff from this. Glad to help. I'll also have to check out what the differences between 2.3 and 2.0 to see what made it work.
  12. Unrelated to Eclipse.
  13. Nope, only in client > data files > characters. If you're unsure, [check out this guide](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/topic,68363.msg736616.html#msg736616). Also try using the admin panel's set sprite function. I will examine the code more closely tomorrow and get back to you, I'm a little too tired right now.
  14. Hmmm, just taking a quick glance at your steps everything looks right. Try putting a breakpoint by clicking at the left margin on the left of the code, right where the first "If" statement is for the Injury sub. [(example, courtesy of Microsoft)](http://i.msdn.microsoft.com/dynimg/IC57847.gif). Then run the server through VB6\. See if it stops when the player is hit (this will establish if the sub is being called or not). If that doesn't work, go to Sub Injury and replace the Call SendPlayerSprite(index) with Call SendPlayerData(index). Then see if the sprite changes (this will establish if the SendPlayerSprite sub is the problem). And yes, Sub is actually just like void, indicating that it returns no value. So the following are the same: ``` Sub Hello() ' code End Sub ```is the same as: ``` void hello() { ' code } ``` And Exit Sub is the same as return;.
  15. ``` Zero.Zero.Zero.Zero. ``` @Gwen: > soul you are so mean to them… you dont even give them a chance. I waited a full 8 minutes before posting. That should be plenty time. ;)
  16. @Likestodraw: > What on earth is teamviewer? It is a remote control software, so I can use it to control his computer to set up the updater for him. Website is at http://teamviewer.com/ if you want more details.
