    Birthday

What you said: @darkserver: > the first is my birthday the first to guess my age wins! What I understood: @darkserver: > **This is my first birthday!** The first person who guesses my age wins! So, Aaron: @Aáron: > 01? would be the winner.+
  2. @Eckhart: > You can buy a cooling mat and that will allow you to play much longer. Could be useful, yet, I'm not the type of person who spend 4-8 hours playing. But, if I notice any overheating that deserves to be worried about, I'll look into that.
  3. Oh. By too much gaming, you mean lots of consecutive hours of gaming? I'm not that kind of person, but thanks for advice, anyways!
  4. This CPU doesn't has a Level 3 Cache, but possesses a high Level 2 Cache. @Rithy58: > I wouldn't say you should do too much gaming on it, though. Explain yourself. @Captain: > Guys! IT'S A QUAD CORE! SO IT'S 1.4*4\. You'll be able to play any game. 5. @Scrooge: > Graphics cards are so powerful now-a-days that it's your CPU which will be bottlenecking your performance. @Eckhart: > Yeah, and a 1.4 Ghz CPU won't get you too far, but for the price it's great. Yeah, but I read that it can turbo boost to 2.6GHz. Still a problem, but that's great for the price.

    An MMO

Battle of Inmortals is a really good game. Plus, some friend recommended me Grand Fantasia. I haven't played it yet, but you should look into it.
  7. @renzo: > Eclipse, the Real Financial Advisors. > > Seems like a good laptop for 400$ > Though I wouldn't play the latest games on it. > > Honestly, other than for schoolwork and keeping in touch with friends and family when traveling, I can't think of any reason to have a laptop. If you have a decent desktop computer then you shouldn't need a laptop to play games on. I've never been a fan of desktops, actually, I dislike them to be honest. But, my desktop is a 2000's Dell with shitty specs, and my personal computer is a netbook(enough said). @Zonova: > I'd get it just for the low price and the fact that it has a graphics card. I doubt that it'll be able to run things in High settings, but medium to low sounds reasonable, especially since it's only 400$. The 3D performance should be similar to the older Radeon HD 5730 due to the larger amount of shaders. **Therefore, current and demanding games should run fluently in 1366x768 and medium to high details.** Less demanding games like Sims 3 or Fifa 11 should run in high details and resolutions. Thought, according to some reviews, the CPU is great and this laptop can run games like Black Ops with medium-high graphics. Obviously, I'm thinking of buying it, but before, I would like to know what you guys think of it.
  9. Thank you. I'm broke now. Anyways, the application is pretty basic. Very simple to use. Overall, it's a really good way to start with Java. I must say that I actually enjoyed betting, thought I lost it all. Plus, I noticed that, where the application name should be(In that top blue bar with the minimize, maximize and close buttons), when you hit bet 1, 5, 25 or 100, and a Message box comes up, in its blue bar, it says "Mensaje" instead of Message. Intentional error or not? Lawlz.
  10. What? Your last map is really… frustrating. What the hell? You were supposed to get better, e.e
  11. The characters look damn sexy. The grass, dirt and fit in pretty well with the characters for me. The water doesn't feels like water at all. The tree doesn't fits with the tiles and the characters at all. Plus, listen to Kreator. Having black outlines on some sprites and on others not is really confusing. Try to match a single style.
  12. Wow. Lot of potential there. Love the attachments. Neat and clean. Pretty sexy. Nice work.

    NPC Planner

@sizziler: > I dont mind it looks ok ill give it a try. Thank you. Big update coming in, re-did everything and made a very comfortable user interface. Just giving the final retouches before bringing it out to the public. @Fuu: > Does it _really_ make your life that much simpler? A paper and a pencil would work just as well imo. > Or as Kusy said, a .txt file. Depends on your point of view. If you prefer to write everything unto a piece of paper or a text file, go for it; otherwise, I'd highly recommend you to use it. @MrMiguu: > And one can conveniently read back the data in the same order. > > So complex, bro. Yeah, before, I never actually had a chance to run through binaries in VB6, but after watching it how it works, it's actually very simple. But I decided not to make it Eclipse compatible. Why? Because Eclipse Origins has an internal NPC Editor, it would be plain stupid. Thought, the next version is pretty big, compared to it's predecessor, with a bunch of new features that will seduce you to use it. – Anyways, I also want to say that, I'm sorry if you find this program useless or stupid, it was my try at making something with VB6 for the first time, so, I actually expected you people found it un-useful. Yet, you can avoid this program or actually be helpful and give it at try.
  14. The maps are really small. The "camp" map … hmm... doesn't looks like a camp actually, and I really dislike how you filled it with flowers all around the camp site. The "port" map is overall good, in my opinion, but really small. And, you should add some NPCs in there. It will make it more beautiful. Well, just gonna say that, it's a good start, hope you get better eventually.
  15. Looks really amazing so far, but I suggest that, for now, go for a Final Fantasy/Chrono Trigger style of Interface. >! ![](http://game-flush.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Final-Fantasy-VI-Screenshot-Battle.jpg) ![](http://janaiblog.files.wordpress.com/2010/05/ct_battle1.png)
  16. @Robin: > Kid, calm the fuck down. It's called a constant. Not a 'dim'. What you posted was pure bullshit. Wut? I aint even mad. And, you get the point.
  17. Working on the animations already? Sounds amazing! Can't wait to see it when you're done!
  18. I hate you guys. @Robin: > He means you should use constants for calculations. He just doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about. Anyone who has used Dim x As y or Public x As y, would know what the fuck I'm talking about. @Esmeyana: > I think NamelessSoul is a male. Yes. You're right. @blkcrow: > 0.o > what the hell do you mean with that? >! Just an example I took from EO ![](http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/6679/97804898.png) ![](http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/3504/89000023.png) ![](http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/6373/81027536.png) Not actually close to what I said, but it'll be enough for you to understand.
  19. Another Tip: **Dim. Dim everywhere.** >! ![](http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/373/dimdimeverywhere.png) Dim-ing is the best thing you can do. Instead of giving plain values to every goddamn thing in your engine, dim it. Make a module just for dim-ing Values which you are going to use for your engine. So, if you ever need to change it later, it'll be easy as hell, instead of searching endlessly through your code, because you forgot how you named the value that determined how much weapons the character can wield at a time.
  20. The video looks amazing. Sorry for not watching it before. Looks like we have someone with actual programming skills over here. Basically, the battle logic has been done correctly, but there's no organization in there. What I mean that, if you want to make an awesome custom battle system, you'll have to add some awesome battle effects to it and a very comfortable UI. Instead of the server sending text/adding text to the txtChat, render the text above the enemies. That will make it a lot more viewable-friendly. Another thing would be, adding animations. What you got there is just an awesome plain battle system with a very large potential. If you want it to be the best at what it does, add animations. If I were you, I'd use spells as attack animations, and save some time to myself, but that's just me. **TL;DR**: the battle system is pretty awesome. You got some nice stuff there. But you didn't focused on the most attractive part, that are the graphics, and by graphics I mean, effects, animations, etc. Good job! I'm keeping an eye on this, definitely.
