  1. Oh great, glad you are aware :) Could you upload just those 2 updated files? I started a thing with your engine, and it would be a pain to start all over. xD
  2. Not to put a downer on things, but you ErrReport.dll is a huge security exploit. A user could simply open it in notepad, and bam, there is your FTP details.
  3. @jcsnider: > Sorry guys, no I am not giving up, no even close. Thats what I told em ;D OFT: I sent ya 40 bucks :P
  4. I believe is is 1.2. I have been working on this game for a long time, so it isn't an recent release of an ES build.
  5. I haunt added any system that spams packets. All I updated thatvi sent out to users is a new items.bmp, which couldn't have caused it. Could it have been just hisncomputer?
  6. My friend is getting a weird error when playing my game. He is able to connect find, and log in and play fine. Then 2 miinutes later he is kicked for packet flooding and on his end it says he has lost connection. It keeps doing this and I can play fine. Any help?
  7. @Kusy: > I was like going to reply to this thread with some funny image yesterday but while looking for that funny image I aparently found something better to do and forgot about posting it here. ![](http://rix0r.nl/imagemacros/lmao-real.jpg)
  8. I have an image, backdrop actually, and the image doesn't quite fit in the Map Editor. Its cut off. Is there anyway I can make the Map Editor (the actual picscreen in the map editor) bigger to allow bigger images?
  9. @Robin: > @Chuchoide: > > > Good to hear, XBlue. > > XBlue != Timmah. > > XBlue isn't 'good friends' with anyone. lolwut? I'm confused. xD
  10. I can report the he is still working on build. Me and him are very good friends and he is always telling me how excited how he is to release it. I have been testing it and it is truly amazing. Dont worry, it isn't dead.
  11. @MrMiguu: > Should have thought all this out before-hand. EO was not out when I started making my game with ES. @All - I can not copy and paste it. xD I am serious about my game, and Orgins seems like a great engine. It feels slimmed down and easy to use.I believe we will migrate to Orgins at later time, hopefully it wont be abonded :)
  12. Hey All, My and jcsnider (his epicness) have been making an amazing game built from ES. Its got pets, an auction center, quest system, an battle arean, double exp, xp, and SOOO much more. It would be a HUGE pain to convert it all to EO, but, is there any simple ways to migrate? I mean, what I'm really asking, what is the pros and cons of both? Is it worth the migration?
  13. @jcsnider: > Programming for people here at Eclipse. $2000. :D 2/4 of that is from me! XD (well, a little more soon :P) ANd I would recommend Blogging. I have a blog site and get a bunch of clicks :)

I think > > > > > > But yeah, from the screenshots it seems this may actually be a .net eclipse project that gets finished; hope the project doesn't die in a month like most of them do. > > > > Even worse is that when you actually know enough about Intel, AMD and VIA optimisation, that you will realise that there are processors made anno 2010 that aren't able to deal with .net (e.g. Intel Atom and VIA Nano), and stating that those processors aren't made for games is like saying .net actually is made for game development. > > > > There are only a few operating systems that would be capable of running .net fast enough on heavy work stations to use .net applications on a daily base. These operating systems are all research projects, however. To be even more specific: Microsoft research projects, in most cases. > > > > Regards, > > Stephan. > > Goddie so VB6 is better than vb.net in game development? I would say VB6 is simpler, but not better. VB.NET is a bit harder, but can make stunning apps.
  15. This wont die, jcsnider is commited to it ;) He has done a wonderful job so far, and the whole eclipse community will benfit from having this great programmer with them.
  16. Ok, thanks, I will try all your suggesstions now :)

    Runtime Error 380

    > Run-Time Error: 380 - Invalid property value > 1\. When clicking on a button in the server > Download this and place it in the system directory and register it. > > 2\. Unknown action > This error is caused by your server owner not taking into account the graphics limit for Windows 98\. The graphics they distribute are too large to work with Windows 98\. This happens on Windows 98 computers & Windows ME only as far as I know. The fix is quick and easy. > > - Open "tiles.bmp" in the "GFX" folder at the client side. > - Make sure it opens in Paint. If it does not open in Paint automatically, right click on tiles.bmp and click Edit. If that doesnt work, then right click tiles.bmp and go into the Open With… submenu, and if paint is in there, click it, if it isn't, click Choose Program... and click browse, then go to "C:\WINDOWS\system32" and double click on the "mspaint" icon. Then click ok. > - Once in Paint, click Image (ALT+I), Then click Attributes. OR you can just hold control and hit E when you open paint. > - Once in the Attributes menu, edit it to look like the following: > Width: 224 > Height: 9728 > Units: Pixels > Colors: Colors > - Then click OK > - Then click File, Then click Save. Re-install the Eclipse client. Install all your back-ups. Do that. Credits to Stephen for the thread.
