  1. I can exctract the rar and then run the game just fine, so I don't understand the problem. Maybe the file just got corrupted while you were downloading it. You may want to remove your password from config.ini though.
  2. I always get to know to what IP I have to go to for port forwarding is by going to open cmd using windows run. And then type in ipconfig. It's your default gateway. Also a great site to use is: http://portforward.com/ See if it lists your router, it most likely does. If it doesn't it's still good to look around other routers. The steps are quite similar to each other.

    Thanks for your reply, but we found something else that fixes it. Before I replied to the topic, I recommended downloading & installing this: http://www.oldapps.com/directx.php?old_directx=4#download As one of the differences is dx7>dx8\. It solved the issue! Ps> I also tried to search this issue. And plenty other ones before. Even to topics I know they exist however. The search function never gives topics or anything. Is that just me or is the search function of this forum broken?

    Grey screen

    Someone who is trying to get in my EO3.0 game. Is getting a grey screen after logging in: ![](http://i50.tinypic.com/5lrwh4.png) This didn't occur in a EO2.0 game. Does anyone have an idea on how we could solve this? It occurs in EA3.0.7 and EA 3.0.9.

    Are you looking at the right tutorial? [this one seems similar to your picture](http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/2wire/3800HGV-B/Eclipse.htm). It has the same settings for the firewall. The only difference I can see is that portforward doesn't add anything to your public IP. While I assume you have since you censored it. Maybe you could try removing that. Also make sure your computers firewall doesn't block the ports. At windows 7 you can configure this at start > control panel > (small icons)Windows Firewall > Advanced settings. Add a new rule where it allows the connection for port 7001
  8. I don't think Nintendo cares for small pokemon online games. But many popular have been canceled because of Nintendo. There's a website that did an online pokemon thing. And after Nintendo contacted them, they didn't totally quit. Instead, they kept everything the same. Except for all material owned by Nintendo, they changed this into their own monsters, items, and so on. I suppose the website is a good example how you can make a fan-game without being sued. http://www.monstermmorpg.com/ It'll take a lot more effort though.
  9. Allright I'll play some more around with it, here are the results for the things I tried. I'd like to hear it if I have to try more things. Everything is tested as non-admin, as admin works fine. **activating an event:** Nothing happens, it doesn't activate. **walking on a warp attribute**: I don't get warped. **targetting an NPC:** I can't **using an spell (aoe, since I can't target):** I only see the cast bar animation, after this bar is full, nothing happens. No spell name, no animation and no damage to the NPC **picking up an item:** I can't **Learning a spell:** I can't **Equiping an item:** I can't All the above works fine as admin. When I'm admin it warps back to the last saved spot. (Where you started at logging in. Or the last place you were as admin I guess) I'm not sure what more to test. But I guess it simply does nothing, untill you get to be an admin. Tested this all on Eclipse Advance 3.0.9 simply because this is the first EO3.0 client I found on my PC.   11. Thanks, many players from my game asked for this. Doesn't look too great it my opinion, but it does the job for people that likes it maximized. You forgot to add you also should put the maxButton property at frmMain to true.
  12. Sounds good, but don't forget there could also be spells, like a shield or healing that should also be blocks behind, left and right from you. Hope there will be an option for that. ;P

  14. If you put a spell on number 23, while no other spells have been made, the client works perfectly fine. It really starts when you actually make 23, I don't think it matters on which numbers your put them.

    I'd like to bring back my global variables suggestion I suggested it the nightly releases topic. Plenty of people liked the idea. Global variables are variables that are the same for every single player, the values will be added in a server side ini file for example, which only admins can edit. With this you can for example get events like: Everyone bringing an star to the christmas tree, variable adds 1 to it everytime someone brings an star. When 100stars are brought a special door will open where the christmas event begins. Also there are a few bugs reported by me and a friend. However there hasn't been replied on any of them. I hope someone is willing to look into them. The bugs are all conffirmed in EO3.0. Spells problem. Reported by MarBru.   17. I can confirm this issue. Really game breaking when you wanna create a game with many spells. Would be really appreciated if someone can help.

Make sure you're using the newest library installer, I think the one called ELIS is an older one. http://www.robin.freemmorpgmaker.com/eo_runtimes.zip Right click the library installer file, and click "properties" Go to 'Compatibility' and check 'run this program in compatibility mode for' Then choose Windows XP Service pack 3 Check 'Run this program as an administrator' aswell. Press OK and run the installer.
