  1. @Captain: > Tell me what you guys got :D A bank statement claiming I spent £1,200 this month. I also bought myself a new desk for Christmas. … 10am. Time to get drunk, I think.
  2. @Jungle: > When do I receive _my_ second chance? You already had it when you got unbanned by Marsh.

    This is it

@Sicarii: > everyone can take what they want but what i enjoy is "All that we ask is that you present yourself politely and have a thirst for learning." politely….lol....thirst for knowledge eh? Wtf ever....im truly not sayin much other than why do ppl female dog bout noobs in the forum when the website says come on in everybody we will take care of you..... You're confusing several different terms here. We get far too many people who come on here expecting everything to be done for them. People aren't told off for being new, they're told off for being spoilt little bastards. These are the kinds of people who make an account, complain about how hard it is, ask for people to make stupidly complex systems for them, ask people to find all their resources for them and ask people to practically make their entire game for them. Regardless of how we treat them they'd end up leaving in a week or so anyway. I'm not going to waste effort trying to explain to some spoilt American kid that he needs to actually make his own game.
  4. I don't really see it being a problem with not having a router. All that does is punch a hole in your NAT and routes traffic to that machine. In theory you shouldn't have to do anything to host from your machine… but I've never really dealt with a computer which wasn't behind a secure network, so I'm at a loss. Try getting Gwen in here and ask her. She's much better at networking than I am.
  5. Try this; [http://canyouseeme.org/](http://canyouseeme.org/)
  6. Either way it shouldn't have a block background. Make it transparent.
  7. Why does it have that stupid background colour?

  9. Past developers weren't included in the EO credits because I didn't use any of their work. All the people who's work I used were fully credited I believe.
  10. @Muffen: > Look's really cool so far. Building look's a lot like Megalith's though. Didn't you work on that game as well? xD

    Name for game

You don't need to do either of those things. You just want a single word which is memorable and unique.

    Skyrim

Apparently Bethesda didn't compile the game for PCs. This mod gives a 30-40% FPS boost. Never, ever put 'Online' in the title.

    Name for game

Short, sweet, a bit cheesy and generally memorable. Oh, and with a spare .com name. The name will be taken seriously once the project is. Even a great name will be ruined by a shit game. I couldn't believe it when people started taking Crystalshire's name seriously. It's just generic fantasy shit mixed with my county's name. xD
  15. If it was from a tutorial then you should have said so. Go post in the tutorial thread. When you said you were adding CS:DE's music system to Origins I naturally assumed you were ripping it yourself.
  16. @MrMiguu: > I would like to think that this on your part gives the engine an even more-so unique history. I'd like to think I'm a sort of internet royalty. Of course it doesn't really mean much.
  17. Do you know what 'ambiguous' means? You have two procedures each with the same name. You didn't remove the old system properly or you duplicated the new one. Either way you screwed up.
  18. You need to remove the existing system before you put the new one in. Herp derp.
  19. Wherever you want, babe. It's your computer.
  20. Generally speaking people try and avoid attracting _your_ kind of audience. There are enough idiots in real life we have to deal with.
  21. We don't use any VB6\. The '80s software is made in MUMPS, the '90s software is made in Delphi and the '00s software is made in C#. I'm currently heading a team of 11 people in developing a support site based in ASP.NET with a C# back-end. It's pretty much the same as Eclipse. They want me to get people using the online resources rather than the support line.
  22. @Recoil: > @Robin - I am terribly sorry I had to even ask a question and MAKE you respond like some tormented little child. Do me a favor and just stay off my posts since I am not directing anything to you what so ever. Other people have been very nice, and helpful, ALL AT THE SAME TIME! It really isn't that difficult. You're using my engine whilst relying on my documentation and support. Get used to it.
  23. @Recoil: > This is an issue I have noticed on both EO and CS:DE. I have scanned through the code but have not seen anything that goes through the maps and deletes items after a certain time period. Then you didn't look at the item spawning code. The entire map is cleared every few minutes. @Recoil: > The reason I am pointing this out is that no matter how much space in memory the item laying there takes up, if you have a grip of maps, with a ton of stuff just lying around not being picked up, then it is pointlessly using memory. Yes, I'm sure the 3bytes of data each map item takes up is really going to cause a huge issue. Hey, if you get 1,000,000 items placed down at once it might even take up _3 whole megabytes!_ @Recoil: > Likewise, if an addition for this was implemented then there would need to be an edit made to the map editor and "keep" tiles in order for player to actually have small spots where they can store items. Or you could use the bank.
