Working on new houses for Dawn of Light, here is the base design I have going: (SIMPLE/NO SHADE): ![](http://img379.imageshack.us/img379/8749/new1ly2.png) I'm working on more angles for expanded design, further more I also have a Door, Chimney & Windows working as well. What are your thoughts otherwise on how I can improve this new house design?

Below is the new 'Thick' grass, along with the new tree designs. Please keep in mind that the new trees are shrub based, most likely to be placed in and around a major city or entrances. I put an old pine tree off to the left to give you a comparison of how much the trees are improving and I'll begin re-drawing the pine trees again next. ![](http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/2478/53646247cq1.png) (looks sloppy because it is, I just randomly laid the tiles out to view them) What are your thoughts thus far? How can I improve? I'm aware that the thick grass needs the edges softened a bit. I'll do that tonight when I have more time.

  11. If you like oranges, go to your local grocery and look for 'cuties'. They are much like mini oranges, incredible easy to peel, juicy & sweet. You can get an entire sack for 5$ - ish. I go through those, kiwi's and star fruit & bananas like no ones business when I work out.

    Dad sucks.

    I'm 22, our father used to take some things out of hand. If he was upset and you did something wrong, he'd beat you with his belt until he thought you had enough. My brother stood up to him once, but my dad beat him until he bled and he still told our dad off, so my dad threw salt on his cuts and beat him some more. He eventually settled down though, after my brother knocked him out. Just keep in mind, difficult parent(s) is something many people go through, some more difficult than others. Eventually it ends as you get older and at that point, only you can choose how you want to live your life. Abusive like your parents (whether verbal or physical) or like others whom have affected you positively.

I think it gives the sprite a bit more personality while also being further visually attractive (in my opinion).

  18. Cool thanks guys :) Updated original post to contain new video clip. I received some comments on the shield so I'll begin work polishing that up today.
  19. Not directly, I just recorded the game up close so that it is easier to see the sprite in action. Later videos will possibly be full game view, at sprites default resolution. Though, my next video will likely contain a full suit of armor, up close.

  22. So I reworked the sprite's skin tone. Here is the old image, as well as the new example. ![](http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/2497/newspriteur0.gif)![](http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/8674/16267665eq6.png) Instead of trying to create new skin tones from scratch, I used my previous sprite's skin tones and did some minor shifting of their shades and colors. What are your thoughts now?
  23. @The: > it looks beautiful except for the fact that the eyes move up and down when walking straight. Great improvement! The eyes moving is simply caused by the gif's lesser quality. You wont see that in game :) Thanks for the comments guys. I received a lot of points towards his skin color, so I'm going to rework it a bit and post the recolor here shortly.
