My post was slightly sarcastic lol. Xeross has the idea, Warcraft I, was one of the first games in the maturing RTS gaming styles that had the whole "Manage and army" thing going. Before Warcraft there were others but many of which like the one I can't remember what it was called… My step cousin showed it to me it, was considered the earliest "army" based RTS but you only controlled one unit, while you still had others on your team. So the lack of controls in that kind of a game were not uncommon. It's just that Warcraft I gained a bit of a reputation and some negative notoriety towards it's controls due to the large amount of people that actually got the game (In other words, the more people you have to complain about something, the more complaints you get). Aside from that, regarding my last post... It's also not uncommon for game dev's to look back at previous projects and think about what could have done better, and I'm sure that had a large impact on the outcome of Warcraft II. (I'm so proud! I still have my Warcraft II "Battle.net Edition" sittin' in my closet!)

First off, do they need the money anyways? Secondly yes, C++ is a "Mid-level" language meaning it can work with the systems hardware more directly where as, Java is a "High-level" language meaning it is more abstract and "User-friendly"(meaning, Java code resembles actual English more closely than C/C++ languages but at the same time offers less control).

You guys might find this funny, but I have never personally used Pivot, my sis had a class that she had to use it for a long time ago and I thought it was pretty neat :P So I was mess with it and see what I could come up with. I just recently made on paper one of those little flip the pages animations… It was 25 frames long violent but funny :P

Hmm, I was just reminded of a neat piece of software, Pivot. After it popping into my head I was wondering if anyone would perhaps be interested in having a Pivot contest? (Pivot is a free software that lets you make some pretty neat animations) The newest version as far as I know is, Pivot 3 Leave your thoughts or comments :P

Hmm, I like Warcraft II a lot! WC III was good but I never actually purchased it. My step bros had it so I played theirs, I didn't care for having heroes either. Mainly because if you have a map with lots of "NPC" factions on the map one player's hero can level quick against those leaving the other player's heroes "BLAH"-ish. None the less it was still fun :P

hehe, this brings back memories of last year in my comp sci classes… Oh, how I miss you Starcraft tournaments...(My teacher had a few days where he let everyone in the class sit and play starcraft :P)

Just a tip, Ninja: If you're getting a PC for gaming do NOT get a laptop… Desktops are the way to go for gamers hands down. The computer I use is a laptop, but for one reason, I move between houses all the time (mom to dad's) and I can't lug a desktop around. So unless you have sufficient reason to get a laptop for gaming, don't.

I took a psychology class and this was a question we had to answer lol! Technically, if nothing is in the vicinity to hear the tree it does NOT make a sound. Sound only exists in the human brain, other wise the tree just shook a bunch of molecules in the area. Long story short, sound doesn't exist unless something is around to hear it.

I'm sure there are. W00t installing it now! Took longer to get it in my grubby little paws then I thought it would. :P
