  1. Oh come on now, Luke before the car crash was hot.
  2. You have status to me. :3 (Anyone I can remember easily from when I was a newbie are automatic Eclipse 5-star platinum members!) :P
  3. Long time no see. :) The community has changed quite a lot since your time I think, but much of the core group is still around (although I don't think much of them are making games anymore). I'm not sure about "the best" active game around right now though, you'll have to lurk a bit, or maybe ask DrNova.

    Emulators

I use NEStopia, SNES9x and ZSNES, and I've used Project64 and ePSXe, and MAME. I didn't really like Secret of Evermore for some reason. I love Secret of Mana though, still have a cart of it (well technically it's my brothers but he left all his old games here at our parents). I started emulation to play Seiken Densetsu 3, which is basically Secret of Mana 2, but it was never released outside of Japan. That game is very, very good I think.
  5. Locked. If you need help learning to map, read the tutorials and practice. To be visciously honest I don't think you should post in Recruitment asking for mappers, you don't even have a game port forwarded yet (your IP is a LAN IP), and you seem very new. Take some time, mess around yourself for awhile, before asking for specific help.

    PAX

I thought the PAX tv station was changed to ION.
  7. [23:16] TTSnim: Well, I have cats. And the internet [23:17] TTSnim: It sort of like a BF if you mix it all together :cheesy:
  8. @‪‫‬‭‮‪‫‬‭Admiral: > ROFL@ticker! > Watch it again, but read the ticker! "Benicio Del Toro signs deal to star in Benicio-Del-Toro-Language film" "Newly discovered cluster of dinosaur bones suggests existence of 200 million year-old natural history museum"
  9. @Gwen: > Yeah having to listen to a judge all day can be pretty boring. > > All tho claiming your spot on the basketball court is pretty bad too! BAD PUNS! :(
  10. @Robin: > No, but you can have a very educated guess. Look at the context. Swords, bows + arrows, magic… > > Hey, they could be magic powered! Or maybe an oil lamp? Remember gas powered is relatively recent, a precursor to electrification. To have gas powered lamps require an infrastructure to pipe the gas, whereas you can have a peasant light/restock an oil lamp anywhere. And you know what, lakes DO have beaches. They aren't as extensive as sea coasts but the banks of lakes can have beaches because although tidal forces aren't as powerful, they are still in effect. And as Soljah pointed out wind and other movement causes waves on lakes as well.
  11. America's Finest News Source.
  12. @Gwen: > Did you try resident evil 4 for wii… its brings new fun to that game. You mean you've actually played one of your Wii games? :O :P
  13. @renzo: > i had a dancing gir avy, cuz he was awesome, the zim avy is the one [jax](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php?action=profile;u=4164) has Yeah I just knew that dancing character was from Invader Zim I didn't know his/its name sorry. But that was back when you had the long version of your name and then a number at the end. :P Edit: I guess I was a bit inaccurate calling you invader zim guy, I just remembered that avy and wasn't sure how to mention it… all I know is you weren't a pedo or wierdo during that time.
  14. @Robin: > Those lamps aren't electric. They're gas. Stating they are gas is the same as saying they are electric. You can't really tell.
  15. @Robin: > That's not a sidescroller. River City Ransom Double Dragon Battletoads Final Fight TMNT Arcade Aliens arcade games Dungeons and Dragons arcade games Pretty much every "beat-em-up" game from the mid-80s until the age of 3d. They are all considered "side-scrollers" despite having limited movement along an extra axis. I don't see why you have to be such an elitist over the term and any games trying to emulate such a style. But go ahead and flame games and hide behind wikipedia semantics, you seem to be good at that.
  16. I like the paths, and the map in general. Only things that are off are the lily pads in the water, basically what Robin said - also they look like they are there to camoflage an incomplete corner water tile. Also, the tree near the top is messed up. The trunk shows the tree is placed farther back than the wall of the building, yet the foliage of the tree shows it in front. Oh, and about the lamp post, there were lamps like that before electrification, so I don't see any problem with its location (even if it was electrical, big whoop its still alright).
  17. Yeah really… Renzo used to be that Invader Zim character wasn't he? When did he become the resident pedo?
  18. @Elder: > Sir have you ever even TRIED inserting into your country? It's dusty but I think you'll change your tune once you do try it. xD Wow. Thanks for that mental image.
  19. Sounds neat. :) So would these characters have humanoid hands? Hard to imagine pure animal paws picking up anything like a couple of sticks. :P
  20. > pwnz.co.uk Yeah nothing worth reading there. if the "pwnz" doesn't give you the hint the "co.uk" does! Zing! :P
  21. Is there a similar class radeon card with the same amount of vram? I'm not really a technophile so I can't help you too much. But my opinions on Radeon and Geforce cards, are usually Radeons are more stable and last longer but I can't see things as purty as a Geforce. This is a couple generations ago too. Also, another thing wierd about Geforce, I've had this problem, and my brother and friends have too, is they seem to overheat A LOT. I've never had that problem with my radeon. But Nvidia's drivers and software are really nice and smooth, Radeon drivers and control panel software are bad and bloated. But I dunno when it doubt go for the vram? Do you like any brand over the other?
  22. The GFX that come with Eclipse are simply there as a template to help you learn the engine. Technically everyone making a game is expected and encouraged to make or procure their own graphics.
  23. This thread is kinda a reason why I never wanted such a thing. I'd rather have basic barebones stuff more versatile and/or generic than making a built-in quest system.
