  1. Ok, so the demo is live, both single-player and multi… but we won't speak about the single player here, sufficient to say, it's pretty shit. Multiplayer on the other hand is pretty fun thing to do, even with only the two maps provided. Download the Origin spyware, add me to friends (Origin ID KusyDude or something like that) and let's get this shit done. It's a horde mode type of thing: 1\. Fend off 11 waves of enemies 2\. Complete random tasks 3\. Get to the extraction point 4\. ??? 5\. PROFIT And the profit is as follows: for each round you play you get cash and xp... you level up as per usual in Mass Effect, only this time around it's a bit more fun than it was in the simplified joke of an RPG ME2 was (this joke is at least a bit funnier), that's that. Money is more fun. With money you buy equipment packs (there are only two sadly). Equipment packs have some handy consumables inside, and a chance to have a rare item, like character customization unlock, new race/class unlock, new weapon, weapon upgrades, that sort of stuff - it's really neat, kind of reminds me the good old times when trading card games were popular... it's absolutely random, I haven't unlocked a single race and I have around 30 matches behind me while some people get a ducking Krogan Soldier after their third. The overall experience is surprisingly smooth, short connection times for me, no ridiculous website server browsers like in Battlefield 3, easy matchmaking, intuitive gameplay, only communication sucks because there's only voicechat - no text in the demo it seems. It's worth trying. The powers and specs allow you to do crazy stuff with your character - I'm planning on making a Krogan Soldier that will run around without a weapon (yes - you can do that, the less weapons you carry the bigger bonus you get to power regeneration) buffing his melee beyond levels that would make any sense. You can make your character entirely weapon dependent or a power spammer, right now I have an engineer that runs around only with a heavy pistol but crisps everything with his powers. Post if interested, if you have an EA account, post that too, playing with random strangers from this place might be more fun than playing with random strangers from other places.

Make one thread and update it instead of making a new one each time you make something this small. That's constructive criticism from me.

    A logo i made.

Reality, in opposition to few retards who said that adding a chat bubble to your banner will magically turn it into a logo, says it won't.

  7. It was likely not a compliment.
  8. @MrMiguu: > **@Kusy** Then don't play it, bro. We won't hate on you (or we shouldn't, at least). I'm just reacting to people calling this being Zelda inspired. While the author maybe liked Zelda games, and they pushed him to making this one, I can't see how does that show in his game. I kind of miss the times when levels were made with gameplay in mind, not just depended on looking realistic or being great because they were randomly generated. That's actually not a problem of randomly generated games, it's a problem of a lot of games actually. I'd call it casualization of both gamers and developers. Games no longer need the players to think while they play, so developers decided that they don't have to do so while they develop.

While the animations do look nicer now, I still hold what I said - a slight step back when pulling the bow would make it great, just like a small "leap" forward would add some force to the stab.

Sure it was fun Beau. It's a joke back from the times when Slym left the forums because nobody appreciated his art, requested to get banned (or banned himself, I can't recall) and generally did weird things… for those of you who aren't here long enough to recall. Also, show us some more Slym. I actually got interested in it because of this your mom, your face, your something business.
  12. @Robin: > wat. That sucks. > > I'm 5 days a week, 8 hours a day and I get £1,500/month. ~£1,250 after taxes. > > That's just a starting salary, too. And you're surprised we steal your jobs. People who go to fucking England to work for 2 months can live with what they earn there for a year when they come back.
  13. Nah. I'm talking about this in general. To be honest, I'm not that excited about this, it does wear Minecraft stigma, and sorry… but saying this is Zelda inspired... how exactly because he used Link's sprite as an early placeholder? Zelda always meant for me 3 things: 1\. Simple, yet engaging story. 2\. Certain type of gameplay. 3\. Amazing level design that actually made that gameplay. This game has nothing in common with Zelda as I see it now. It lacks any kind of story as it's about randomly generated quests, it's gameplay has nothing to do with Zelda, unless you mean walking and using items... but then it has just as much in common with Dragon Age. It does not involve any kind of level design as it's build in a randomly generated world that lacks design for a principle. To me it looks like a random-world JRPG. And I don't like both - JRPSs and random world generated games.

Shit needs more dithering. But I don't agree entirely. I see what he's trying to do there and dithering wouldn't work good with it. It looks good being smooth as it is for me.
  15. You should remember that having a big bang at the very start of whatever you are writing is not always a good idea. You know, you're not Alfred Hitchcock "to begin with an earthquake and work up to a climax" . If you throw a hard punch at the beginning it's sometimes hard to keep up. In this situation I think it works more against you than for your advantage . We don't really know what's going on, we don't really know the character, we just see him kill a girl. While this is something that might draw some people, it could be used way better by actually making anyone care for whatever the character is feeling, for the girl herself. And with the descriptions - yes, that's what I meant. I'm not saying you should write ten pages about how the door looked like Tolkien would, but some level of description would do good. And that's also connected to pace - you're not making a movie, the fact that something happens incredibly fast or in a very short time interval doesn't mean you have to write about everything in one sentence.
  16. @Jungle: > The obsidian appears to make the players glow. I think this is more like Terraria's lava equipment than Minecraft's obsidian. I hate comparing all voxel games to each other, but I just wanted to point that out. You should, especially since they lack fucking creativity.
  17. You just have problems working with words (in English at least). Apart from some sentences being really bad, you shift between present and past, sometimes using one time in one sentence just to suddenly change it in another. As for now, you have shown two pages… two pages are not half of a chapter if we have the same definition of chapters. Surroundings description is nearly nonexistent - making the action's flow too fast for the reader to catch up... 4 guys get into a house, shoot 4 people, one is a small girl (I understand it was meant to be the shocker here), the this one guy who in some parts seem to regret it, but then he doesn't shoots one more guy. No real context to judge, nothing that would catch my interest too much. Practice bro.
  18. @Robin: > UK is just as fat as America. We're just not proud of it. + bad teeth. Nah Azk, you're ducked. Maybe if there were less polacks to steal your potential job from you… I'm working 5 days a week, 8 hours a day... minimal monthly wage of 300 pounds... 240 after my ducking government gets it's share.

Your mom's gay. Anyhow Slym, I understand the simplistic idea behind the animations, but that bow and dagger stabbing are too much. Dagger animation just looks pretty bad, both of them have ZERO leg movement, and you don't fire a bow or stab someone with a dagger while standing like a peg. They're just bad compared to the very fluent animations of walking (while slightly off) and the even more fluent animation of dying… and seriously, standing absolutely still while something is chewing your head off?
