yes apaches free and it basically turns your home pc into a webserver, so you would be able to just put the update files into a folder on your pc and be done with it.

changing to enums actually takes up less memory, and it made it easier for me to take out stuff i didnt need. and yea you can set the value

make your own? i run an apache server and can write my own html pages for free, plus you arent relying on some stupid templates. if you make a website on webs i honestly doubt it will get much attention. most people wont even go to your site if they see its .webs. but in all seriousness just look up some html tuts.

If I were you, I'd store it on a DVD (things will last half your lifespan if kept properly), a file host, and on your pc. honestly i have all my stuff backed up across 5 harddrives and on my dropbox, and i plan on backing up to dvds when i finished working on my project and just beforee i leave, i only add my backups online because im not sure what state or country im going to be stationed but im pretty sure i wont have access to my pc wherever i am. also i backed it up to a hdd then disconnected it and put it in my closet in case something happens. feel free to label me paranoid lol i just dont plan on losing something ive worked on for months.

I have been looking hard into backing up my source since im leaving for a while and i might not get back to if for around 6 months, the best thing i can thing is storing it online. That way even if you lose the disk, get a new pc ect… You will still be able to access your data from anywhere. just my 0.02 tho

mines not all that old or anything its just i sure as hell cant afford a ssd. I haven't tried 8 yet so i have no real valid opinion, I've heard it will run amd processors more efficiently and i take that as a plus. I don't like the look of metro but I'm sure there will be tons of programs to change the look into a desktop anyway. If i build a brand new pc I would most likely get it but I'm sure not gonna upgrade on this pc.

if you plan on restarting your project 10 years from now i feel bad for ya, i really doubt it will be easy to run vb6 by then lol and hopefully by then a newer eclipse will be out and written in a different language with more features and such anyway. but seriously burn it to disk and store it away.

The only way my pc will boot in 8 seconds is if there is some kinda of tear in the space time continuum.

np man, just copy the timer out of the buff/debuff tutorial and edit it to fit your needs, then do the player shadows tutorial but replace that image with the pvp one ya want. should be easy enough.

yea but you would need to add a timer that tells the image when to turn off, and a boolean such as a playerkiller as boolean in player rec and you would need to edit the playerattack player sub in mod combat to add if you kill a player set playerkiller to true and then do the tutorial for rendering a player shadow but replace the image with your image ya wanna use and have its visibility set to false unless the player killer boolean is set to true.
