  1. I would think this stuff would work in CS:DE since it doesnt rely on the DD7 Modules very much at all, obviously there might be some changes to the source to make this work however. Hmm, might be worth a try to make one more feature for CS:DE.
  2. Microsoft recently released the Windows 8 Consumer preview and I am running Virtualbox on my mac to test its functionality. It seems like VB6 is working fine, just a little error about the OLE registry but I can do everything with it I would normally be able to do, EO and CS:DE Are running fine after installing the runtimes for the setup and thats it. I'd say if you have a Mac or Linux and you want the functionality of a new Windows platform but dont have a disk for Windows 7 or XP (If your still into XP) then you might want to grab while you can. The preview expires 1/15/13 so you might want to use virtualbox to keep your other OS and maybe set a fake time in BIOS if you want to make it last longer. Some people dont have money to throw at a new OS, so you may want to look at it on the Microsoft website.

    @Wyvren: > How does it work in EO? Would it be possible to create a game based on a low resource system (100 or so) and have it set so said resource is gained by say 10 every 3 seconds, in and out of combat? EO has Health/Spirit Regeneration already built in, I can't seem to understand your concept.
  6. Later. My life is not working out correctly to fit Eclipse in. I love all of you guys, it's great here, but my computer sucks, I can't run anything very well, I have to get VB6 again, I'm moving soon, all that. I need to get away from technological stuff for a month or so, I spend hours trying to fix my damn machine but it's just not worth my time and it's pissing me off. I'm just leaving Eclipse for a while to move on, I can't work on my project much more on this thing and I've tried so many things to get this Vista PC to work properly but I'm sick of it. And I have schooling, and other things to handle. My life is just a mess to sort out so I'm going until I can get a new computer and get back to my project. Good bye, I'll be back whenever. Maybe a month, maybe next year, I'm just sick of my computer so I need to just stop working with eclipse.

How do other DX games deal with this? Oh your still connected but it's just that DirectDraw doesn't handle it well, giving you the black screen. DirectX8 Doesn't do this but that's beyond the point of this topic.

  9. It's not worth your time in general. Instead, maybe make external map editors and such.

It's an idea, but I'd rather detach map editors and such to make mapping easier. Mapping while gameplay is happening all around you doesn't work too well.

I'm pretty sure Ayene made most if not all of these anyway. I may use these over my converted and touched up RMXP tiles for greenery.
