Ah, I see what your trying to tell me.. I'll figure it out, give me some time. EDIT: Fixed the issue. The global width is 980px and there was a 20px margin set by the body which throws the wrapper to the right in 1024x768. Updated links with new Demo and Download. Sorry for the hassle.

The subtleties of the background dont really show up unless I lean up and look at the image directly. Maybe make them stand out a bit more so it doesnt just look like black. It is used as a Header, currently only for a Forum though. I'm modifying the subtitles to make it jump out more. I will show you guys a modified version this evening!
