Joyce
No double posting, since you're new I edited it for you this time. ;]Anyway, that's a new one to me.. I don't think I've ever seen an RTE5 in the sound system at that part :o Internet digging time!
Natreve
There is also this error in the server **_frmServer.Socket(0).Listen_**
Joyce
Hmm, are you sure you have all the library files installed properly, as well as fmod.ocx/dll in your client's folder?
Natreve
Let me see, I did in fact install the library files and it did tell me it was successfully installed. I had the engine before without the error and i downloaded the new one with your event system and then it came up. Should i reinstall the library files? Joyce
Which new one is this? 2.3 or 3.0?
Natreve
The one on the home page "2.3", I didn't even know there was a 3
Joyce
3.0 is more of an in-development thing.. Strange how this error comes up though.Anyhow, goosechase it is. Have you tried cleaning your registry and defragmenting your drive? It's very rare, but this CAN infact cause an RTE5.
Natreve
I will do that right now to make sure, one thing i did however and i found strange was that after i installed the run time files, i checked where it was downloaded in it wasn't there the file path is _**Windows/system32**_ but thw run time files weren't there

It's how users connect to the server etc.You need to get the .ocx file for winsock and it should work.
