XP VS. VX Graphics

I'm just starting my game (actually currently looking for a mapper but don't know where to find one) called Assassins VS. Wizards: The Legacy of Awist (http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/129134-wip-assassins-vs-wizards-the-legacy-of-awist/). I already mapped a few and I've been playing a bunch of games made by people and most used XP graphics and VX graphics (mostly XP) My point is, in your opinion, which one is better? And which should I use for my work in progress?

In my opinion XP graphics are wonderful looking but misused by many but there is a large variety of them and you can make many different types of maps with them easily. But they are all over the place.

VX graphics on the other hand look a bit better (in my opinion but maybe it's just because I've been looking at XP graphics too much) but there are much less of them (correct me if I'm wrong), or should I say, they are harder to come by? Also they aren't used as much.

My point is, I have both of these graphics (packs) and I need to know which one I should use.

I will use two ways to declare the winner, debate (in the form of reply) and poll (votes).

Let the debating begin… or not....

This doesn't belong in debate; it's subjective aesthetics. The only technical consideration here is what tileset would provide you with the most usable resources.

RMXP graphics have tons more stuff because they've been around long and have generally had more contributors working on that style over time. But if you've found RMVX tiles they can generally be just as useful as RMXP if that is the aesthetic you want. The primary difference between them is VX graphics are generally more scaled to small player sprites (32x32 pixel sized). As long as you remain consistant either aesthetic is fine.

Moved to General Eclipse discussion forum.

Personally i REALLY love the new VX-Ace pack, I have a set of them I bought for my VX-Ace but they have yet to be converted for Eclipse use.

Here are the examples:

(and yes hard as it is to believe these really are RPGM tiles)

Those are pretty sweet looking. Reminds me of Diablo a bit.
