EO 2.0 vs 2.3 Event system

So stein made some good points, I noticed the event system is a little bulky and can go really slow in the long run with alot of events, so I figured that I can code make a majority of these event commands scripted server side, and still make a good kick ass game. Plus im rewritting EO 2.0 in visual basic 10\. So enlighten me, am I on the right track for making a decent game after all that I just said? I want alot of feedback, cause ill actually listen to it  thanks!

But if you can less the bug or Lag on Eo then i root for you

I prefer Visual Basic's 6 though it is way easier to use and it was what Eclipse was made with but if you could do that you would be a Savior fixing the Event System to not Lag or Bug.

Yes, but vb6 is old, and might not be supported in thefutur as said by General General Pony,

You should begin to step away from Vb as a whole, not just vb6\. No matter what you try to do it won't be powerful enough to handle what you have in mind, look towards a stronger programming language.

I'd recommend going into the C languages myself and although people say it sucks java and html are kind of the in style and being used often at this point so maybe those are possibilities.
