Justcallmedanny
I wanted to make an event where if the player is close to a door (the player will be standing on the tile the door is on) an animated arrow will play above the door, prompting the player to press a key if they would like to open the door.I can't find a command in the event editor that has anything to do with pressing a key to move to the next command. Do I have to have a custom script for something like this?
Ryo
Make an event "evt_keypressed" out of itWould be fairly easy to make,You will just have to check the key pressed= keychosenbyyou, and return false or true.
abhi2011
He means with the event system.Just use an event on Action Button that warps a player to a diffrent map. But it will always be the Action Key that is Ctrl.
Ryo
Or what abhi said if you don't have any vb6 knowledge.
abhi2011
You still don't get it do you? Adding a KeyPress event is foolish because it would mean large amounts of code to just to do a proper warp. The best bet would be to add a new event option rather than a KeyPress/KeyUp event.
