What systems?

Hey guys, I'm thinking in starting a project, the theme would probably be Sword Art Online. So, I was thinking about the systems, what would be the systems necessary to make a nice Sword Art Online game with eclipse. Any sugestions?

No. Eclipse Reborn is not "no bugg"…Even though you don't notice it, It's actually one of the most bugged ones here..same goes with Eclipse Advanced. Don't be a kiss arse trying to get someone to use an engine made by someone who was banned.

On-topic: Use EO 2.0, it's more stable than any of the engines so far. if you want transparencies, then use 3.0... Otherwise that's all i have to suggest. ER is not nearly complete nor will it ever be support as of now, I assume. If you're looking for a engine that nearly has everything you need to create a game, I would use Eclipse Advance or EO3.0 in the official download section. Be warned, you will NOT get any support from either ER or EA. Ahem if you have no programming experience I suggest you start learning visual basic 6 otherwise you'll be told to do so and probably get criticized for any art work you do with the standard GUI. *facepalm

Actually, I'm not thinking about the engine. I will probably use the one with Event system, which I think is absolutely awesome. I'm looking for tips and suggestions that can make my game nice and unique. I think I can handle the programing part.

About that EO 3.0 … I didn't find it in official downloads, is that a custom version too? Can u link me to the topic?

Here ya go, its no wonder you couldn't find it. The name EO version 3.0 doesn't even exist hence not knowing the reason why they call it that.

Great engine! I will probably use that since at the time is the official engine of the forum. I was thinking in some systems here at work since I have nothing else to do. ![:P](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.png)

Here is the list:

- Quest / Event

- Guild with share exp

- Some kind of Boss system

- Permission to enter the next floor (which have many maps and one final boss) only if u kill the boss in the floor that you are in.

- Spells - Buff, Damage based on stats, Teleport, Projectiles

- More equipment slots

- Crafting

- Items - Teleport and Buff

- Permadeath (?) - Maybe, not sure about that

- Bigger picScreen

- Duel

If you're looking to make your game unique, the best thing to do is to make it yourself. Considering you can't do that, don't go through the tutorial list saying, "Oh that'd be good to have!".

First think up your story-line and how the game could work. Then go through the tutorial list seeing if any of those are the ideas you had. There's no point in adding a system in your game when you're not sure that you'd use it at all.
