juvanio
You might want to refer to this thread Sekaru made; [Click my butt!](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/131648-picking-the-right-engine/)But now base on my opinion, I'd rather learn to code since most of the custom engines are buggy as they say.> THINGS I NEED> > click to move with mouse> > able to change screen size/res> > 8 directional movement> > Things i want> > possible added sprites for ne nw se sw movemement> > possible pet system> > possible guild systemThose things that you want has tutorials which suits your satisfaction. As for the "possible added sprites for ne nw se sw movement" you're saying, it actually depends with the pixel artist already. Unless you know how to do some pixel magic, then you can make your own sprites facing those movements you're expecting. Now, if you're really lazy or you don't really want to code, here are some engines [even though it's buggy or so whatever] I'd suggest:> THINGS I NEED> > click to move with mouse; [Eclipse - Some Unique Name Here](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/129958-eclipse-some-unique-name-here/)> > able to change screen size/res; [Dragon Eclipse](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/127573-dragon-eclipse-20/)> > 8 directional movement; [Eclipse - Some Unique Name Here](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/129958-eclipse-some-unique-name-here/)> > Things i want> > possible added sprites for ne nw se sw movemement; Art~> > possible pet system; [Dragon Eclipse](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/127573-dragon-eclipse-20/)> > possible guild system; [Dragon Eclipse](http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/community/index.php?/topic/127573-dragon-eclipse-20/)Most custom engines are buggy, but if you knew how to fix them, then you're good to go!Regards,Juvanio

Custom versions will be filled with hundreds of conflicting edits which you would have to fix in order to ensure the client and server will keep running which in turn will make the programming aspect harder in the long run. Larias
Hey, I'm actually a new person - I just started here two weeks ago. I played around with the different engines and I highly recommend just starting with Eclipse 2.0\. Or, if you can wait, download Sekaru's version that is simply bug fixes when he releases it in the next day or two. It's basically 2.0.1, heh. Then, follow tutorials and code in what you want. It's what I'm doing and I couldn't be happier.
chopsaw
what version is eclipse event system ? 2.0? i desided to go with the least buggy and add my own features so what do you suggest?
Matt
> what version is eclipse event system ? 2.0? i desided to go with the least buggy and add my own features so what do you suggest? The event system is not in 2.0\. I believe 2.3 has the event system, but is less stable than 2.0.
juvanio
> what version is eclipse event system ? 2.0? i desided to go with the least buggy and add my own features so what do you suggest?Honestly, Eclipse Origins 3.0 may be poorly coded but I don't find it much buggy. You may want to use that if you're after the adding of .PNG formats. I believe Eclipse Origins 2.0 is stable since Robin has left it clean, but disadvantages are, alpha-blend things which you use purple or green or other weird colors just to make something transparent. There's a lot of options! Feel free to fool around, who knew you might be a genius ;]
