Greetings.

Welcome to my Spriting + Paperdoll.
Let's begin.
Open your MSPaint ;).

Step 1: Spriting Basic

We begin with setting up 2 lines to say where the sprite must stand.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite1.png)

Then we add a line in the middle of those 2 lines.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite2.png)

After that we draw a vertical line in the middle of the whole image.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite3.png)

Now we draw a basic. Legs from the underline to the middle line and the torso + head between the upperline and middle line.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite4.png)

Then we make a basic head with eyes.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite5.png)

Now we make a mouth and we make the hair better.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite6.png)

We see where the sun is. How further from the sun how darker the colour. So lets do that with our head.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite7.png)

Now we draw the hands.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite8.png)

Then we draw the basic of the belt and we do the hands like the head.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite9.png)

Now we draw the basic colours of the belt.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite10.png)

Then we add more detail to the belt and we start with making our T-shirt.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite11.png)

We are going to make cool rands at the T-shirt.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite12.png)

Now we are going to do the light to dark effect on the T-shirt and we add some basic for our special effect.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite13.png)

Now we add depth so it looks really cool.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite14.png)

Now we do the trousers and the boots.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite15.png)

We finish the boots with a lot of detail and we light to dark the trousers.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite16.png)

Add least we add some more detail to the trousers.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite17.png)

Now we make the background black.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/sprite18.png)

Step 2: Spriting Directions, Moving and Attack

Well we have the front.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spritestanddown.png)

You can also make the other 3 directions by following my tut or just from the front.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spritestandup.png)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spritestandleft.png)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spritestandright.png)

Moving is not hard anymore since we have the standing versions.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spritemovedown.png)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spritemoveup.png)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spritemoveleft.png)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spritemoveright.png)

For up and down make one arm and one leg at one side shorter and on the other side longer.

For right and left you can use flash or draw the leg by yourself.

Now we do the attack.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spriteattackup.png)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spriteattackdown.png)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spriteattackleft.png)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/spriteattackright.png)

The arms are drawed. You can do that also. Use also the standing version here.

Now we align them.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/resultaligned.png)

Here is a not total fixed version:
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/resultalignedfixed.png)

Step 3: paperdoll

In paperdoll we are going to make a helmet.

We use this for the PD.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/resultaligned.png)

We begin with the basic.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/pd1.png)
And again we place the sun I just made the head gray + it is bigger with 1pixel.

Lets fill it up.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/pd2.png)

Time for detail.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/pd3.png)

I have already some helmets done and aligned(just copy paste and delete rest unneeded stuff)
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/pd4.png)

We get a piece out the head we put it in our helmet and we remove the piece of the head.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/pd5.png)

Then we align it. So far we are done with the helmet PD.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/pd6.png)

We make the background black.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/pdalignedresult.png)

We make an image to display the helmet on the floor or in the inventory.
![](http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p225/Godlord40/pditemresult.png)

And here is an awesome result of the sprite wearing the helmet.

@Dragonfriend7:

> Yes, I was but it just didn't work, and I WAS using EE2.7 but now switched to EO, a lot easier now, but I still don't get how to do quests XD

There are a lot of tutorials on quests if you look around in the source section.
