Sprite sheet error?

Hello everybody, so recently I started my quest to making a small MMO which is only meant to be an adaptation of a story a few friends of mine and I wrote but there is a bit of an issue. The default sprites were cool and all but if you want to tell a story in your own way, you need your own actors, so right below this paragraph is one of the first characters developed for the game. It is in PNG right there but in the game it's been converted to BMP, with specs of 128 x 192 but there is a slight issue.

It ended up looking like this in the game and the character was manually put into a sprite sheet all with the help of MSPaint for EO2.3\. Below us, is what the character ended up looking like in test game play. Would someone kindly tell me where I went wrong? Please and thank you c:

Well with Paint.net you there is a little wand looking button in the tool window. Select that then up towards the top of the screen there is a bar that will say 50%. click and drag that all the way left till it says 0\. This bar detects what percentage of color contrast so 0 will select only that color. Now, with your wand tool selected and your contrast bar set to 0, hold shift and left click the background color. This will select the whole background and from there simply press Ctrl+X. I hope this helps you.
