hotstix12
is there anyway to make eclipse games run in full screen???
jna
not possible. A friend tried it and it went really messy, and if it was possible you would need VB6 knowledge also and of course the VB6 program
hotstix12
darn i think it would be really cool, anyway to make resizing windows then?
jna
hmm is that not the same thing? i think maybe it will be possible but again i don't think it would turn out good
hotstix12
what i was thinking was if you could use resable windows, you could just take the pixle size, multiply the tiles to get enough tiles to fill the window and then when you resized the window to the full width and hight of the screen it would just fill with the tiles
jna
no, i think it would be the same thing the game screen will be same size and all, i think all that would change is the GUI
RetroX
The screensize is hardcodes in the source. I spend a few days of changing it but the result is not good. The screensize is not the actual problem, that can be changed in 2 houres with some programming knowledge. The main issue is reference coordinates. Like, your char is placed in the center of the screen (exept when walking near edges). This also is hard coded. When you change the curret location to the new center [based on the new windowssize] it also requires a lot of (hardcoded) changes to others attributes [like npc movement, characternames, statusbar, etcetera].I agree that it would be nice to alter the screen. Maybe by setting some vars in the data.iniI think this is something for on the wishlist for a next EE3.x release
Homicidal Monkey
in EE3.0, you just click the maximize button.
RetroX
Loving the sound of that. One question tough (because of some future mapping)When maximizing, will the sprites/tile expand [keeping the amount of tiles the same] or is the windows enlarged and displaying more sprites/tiles? unnown
prob the first, the other way is possible if they spend some time in it
Godlord
@unnown:> prob the first, the other way is possible if they spend some time in itThe second way is unfair advantage for players who do use that feature.Regards, The Nameless One. Tyr
ya true, it should be the same for all players. making all tiles & sprites bigger would look a bit messy lol ^^
