Warconn
Alright, so i was working on a next elevation sub for my game :), and i was messing with different subs in the client and server. I was trying to find where to put my sub, and then it happened. :O Ingame, when i try and move my player, he takes one step then continues moving outside the scrolling area. His feet down move, and BLOCK attribute doesnt even work. I cannot find what i have done, and i have to much changed to just get a new source. :sad:Does anyone know the problem or how to fix this. :embarrassed:ThanksWarconn
Tyr
i have totally no idea, u should made backups. I learned that when i letted my server crash oOwell actually you should TEST your game first before hitting the save button…If not there is no way of returning EXCEPT when you delete all the code that caused this bug...- Tyr
Robin
Change WalkSpeed and RunSpeed back to 4 & 8 respectively. If that doesn't work, you've messed up ProcessMovement. Just grab a clean copy of that subroutine from a vanilla Eclipse.
Warconn
Thanks Robin, i remember i did change the GM speeds to 5, and 10. I just changed those back and it worked. Thanks Again, and Tyr i am making a backup code to save all my changes everytime i run with a full compile. ;)
unnown
4,8 and 12 should only be used i believe not sure though :P
xeross
think something with tiles being 32x32 or something and maybe 16, 20, 24, …. also work
Robin
No. Needs to be a factor of 32\. Or multiple, I get those two mixed up.Anyway, it's only because of the amount of pixels the characters move per loop. I posted a tutorial that lets it be any number by just doing a quick check during the loop to make sure the character is within the tile's boundaries.
