Schmeman
I am trying to make an NPC talk but I can't seem to figure out how. I noticed that I had an option to choose Scripted but i don't really know what that means. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Drag0n
well, you need a script to have scripted npc's. But if you type something in "Speak" it says the text you put in.
Schmeman
Well I suppose my main problem would be that even if i type something in Speak I cannot get the NPC to say what I type. I was doing some searching for other topics that may have a solution and I only found one. That topic described how if i select friendly than the NPC will say the one line, however that does not work for me.Also could you elaborate on the scripting NPC topic, or could I be directed to a place where I can teach myself. Whichever is easiest. Thank you.
Akselj
Make an NPC, type something in speak, (not to much) give the NPC HP, place on map, interact. If friendly, it will talk, if atk on sight or atk on atk, it will speak in combat.
Guest
i think he means like talk, as in , a whole convo, if thats the case then you want to make custom menus, thats a script, you'll need a scripter for that one. Its not very complicated, most scripters here on the boards know it.
