**Please stop hotlinking your resources!**
(without uploading them with the forum upload system too)

When you upload something, I encourage you to use the forum's built-in upload feature.

To do this, click "Additional Options", and you'll have an area to attach files.

I have spent the last three days cleaning the Resources board.
263 topics out of the 571 topics that I went though, were either Resource requests (about 20%) and resources that led to dead links.

By dead links, I mean, when someone has "The greatest Sprite Sheet in the world!" then posts this as the picture:
![](http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/573/moost/error.png)
(I have had _way_ too many bad experiences with photobucket; it may sound good, but you would be shocked if you saw how many good resources got deleted because a photobucket account did!)

Same with programs.  I've seen topics like this:
"Here, this is the best took to make Sprites, GUIs, and EVERYTHING!"
And have the download:
[**DOWNLOAD HERE!**](http://www.resourceisthebest98776.com/dodgie/resource.htm)

Or end up going to one of those upload sites, and see "File no longer exists" or "file taken down due to inactivity"

You know what I mean?

So far, the webiste FileFront (www.filefront.com) is the only one that I have had the most luck with, but even than, there are some files that get deleted.

So guys, we have the build-in upload system in the boards, start using that.  And if someone posts a resource that's hotlinked, another user should download it, and upload it in their post (incase the link goes dead).

Let's try to keep our resources permanent, okay?

Please be advised (it's sad that I even have to say that) that to request resources, you must post in the http://www.touchofdeathforums.com/smf/index.php/board,46.0.html board, rather then this board.
This board is for posting Resources, not requesting.
You will receive a warning if you post a request in this board, and your topic will be locked.
