BugSICK
is it possible to have the character a shadow? :cheesy:how. thanks
Devogen
You need to edit the source. I just made a second sprite like a pet thats a shadow sprite and always make the main player sprite come to the front so the shadow doesnt overlap it.There is no easy way to explain it, and no I wont give you my mod sorry mate. Lenton
Or you could create the shadow by editing the sprite.

Devogen
@[UK:> [Nano] Lenton link=topic=38102.msg363653#msg363653 date=1233821737]> Or you could create the shadow by editing the sprite.argh you and your cheap but effective methods :cheesy:yeah that will work too, but you cant make the shadow transparent if you do that. If you treat the shadow as another sprite and alphablend it you can get transparent shadow, but again more work.
kender the great
Either way would work, Character shadows wouldn't be that noticeable unlike trees and other things.

Anna Comnena
Make a shadow on the sprite. Make it transparent by removing every other pixel in a checkerboard pattern in the region of the shadow. Very simple.
XxArchAngelxX
lol, that's a lot easier than what i had in mind
Xavi
I don't think that method would look as good as semi-transparency, but it should work.
