No actually private servers are not illegal. When RS servers got leaked they never bothered copy righting the source so you can play and run RS private servers as long as they don't say RuneScape any where on them or theres money involved. So this is actually not against the  law in anyway if your not profiting from it.
But if the Admin wishes for it not to be here then its a NO GO lol

Ive only played on one good server, then it shutdown or something of the sort. XD. But yeah it was uber fun.
