Gwen Posted September 14, 2009 Author Share Posted September 14, 2009 Ok so I went to ANOTHER NIN show… this makes umm 5 in the past 2 years or so.... :azn:This was their final show unfortunately :sad: but I was super excited to be able to see them one last time.I was supposed to go on saturday, but he rescheduled the show due to being sick. So I had to go on Thursday night. That really sucked because my GF had to work the next day, and wasn't able to get the day off. We both had to work on thrusday so I wasnt able to get to the theater early to get front row :lipsrsealed:So all day I checked my NIN app for my iphone and read how the line was already 240 people deep at 11:00am and was getting very depressed, that i was going to be stuck in the back and not see anything. Finally my friend gets out of work at 2 and is able to pick me up at like 3:30\. She drove to the theater and did not sense the urgency of getting there quickly.... it was like torture to me. We finally get to the theater at like 4:30 and the line is already about 2 city blocks long... My GF tries to pull in to the parking structure and it was full so we had to find another one... thankfully there was one across the street. We get in line and wait about an hour just to pick up my tickets. After getting the tickets they say go this way to get in line. We wind up at the front of the line and walk... and walk... and walk. The freaking line to get in wrapped completely around the 2 city blocks, and by the time we got to the end I was back where I first got in line to get my ticket... I should have just turned around when got them. Now we are waiting for another hour or so to get in, and there were some cool guys in line. We were joking with them and having a good time, and finally get inside.We chose the balcony because I figured it was less crowded, and it worked out because there were seates up there.... we didnt have to worry about getting crushed, which was my GF's biggest concern. While we were waiting for the concert to start everyone started screaming... we stood up to see why, and we saw Ron Jeremy... (The most ugly famous porn star ever!) he got up and walked over to Penn & Teller (the comedian magicians)... so after watching Ron Jeremy walk around and people take their pic with him, my GF goes hey isnt that Tony Hawk? And sure enough Tony hawk was there too!Finally the show starts, and a group called Io - Echo playes... they were ok, they have one song on a comercial for a phone company, and they sing the song You get under my skin. She was wearing some weird cape shirt thing and was running around... she looked liek some sort of weird ghost witch or something....Now NIN comes on... and they start playing songs i havnt heard live. It was so awsome!!!! After a few songs this guy Gary Numan (Big 80's synth guy that sang the song Cars) comes out and sings some of his songs with NIN. After a few songs he goes and some pianist that worked on one of NIN's biggest albums comes out and plays some songs. I wasnt fond of him tho... his gimmick was that he played out of key, and banged on the keyboard... I could have done that! so anyways... after a few songs Dave Navaro from Jane's addaction comes out and plays some songs. Then Atticus Ross (mixes a lot of NIN's songs and stuff) comes out and playes with them. It was pretty cool they actually played a remix of piggy. Next the dillenger escape plan comes out and they are freaking NUTS! they played a few songs, and thier one guitarist goes freaking nuts and is swinging his guitar around his neck and stuff, and almost hits NIN's bassist. Then on their last song together, the lead singer for DEP stage dives, while the rest of the band destroy's their drummer's drum set.... the took the bass drum and threw it across the stage. the other guitarist took the cymbol and threw it... it was crazy... finally when the song finished, one of them dove into NIN's drum set.Nin did 3 encores, and played from 9-12:30 or so.
