Marsh
Hello, i have seen alot of people having trouble and getting the error "Error Loading Scripting Engine"If you already installed the library files you need to manually register your msscript.ocx to do this go into your clients data folder and copy the msscript.ocx to your c:/windows/system32 directory. Then goto your start menu and in the start menu type in run then hit enter. Then type in regsvr32 msscript.ocx and hit enter.
CloudWolf
I'm getting this error, but the fix does not work.1)there is already a msscript.ocx in system32 (albeit, a smaller file size than the one in ~/data)2)when running "regvr32 msscript.ocx", it comes up with the error "windows can not find regvr32I am using Windows
Marsh
small typo sorryregsvr32 not regvr32
CloudWolf
it now works, but with the existing msscript.ocx, it still throws up the error, and when trying to copy over the one from ~\Data, it says I do not have permission. Even when using administrator DOS-Prompt.
Kyesh
Actualy, on windows seven, you must go to the start menu, search CMD, Right click it and run it as an administrator, then command regsvr32 msscript.ocxReason: Or else it will not copy, and tell you Access is Denied, or some other access error. Kyesh
Ok, though, I believe the problem is that Eclipse is NOT Compatible with Windows 7, as far as I know. I'm about…. 40% Sure this is true. I, for instance, am running windows 7\. I run in both, x64 and x32 bit computers, as Windows 7 is Default to that. The Scripting Engins ocx's are not seeming to be compatible with my version of Windows 7. I, also, cannot seem to find a way around this. The scripting error is involuntary.

Guest
@The people who're using Windows 7 64 bit, Im using it aswell, and I've had no trouble with it, you have to download ELI for 64bit, you're probably trying with 32 bit.
Desertsoulz
Wow that worked, but I don't undrstand, Iam using Winows 7 32-bit…Proof![](http://img594.imageshack.us/img594/7365/captureom.png)Oh well, the 64-bit worked, thats all that matters in the long run. R0UNDEYEZ
Hello, I am also getting the "error loading scripting engine" error.I am running windows 7 64 bit. I think the problem is related to the fact windows won't let me install in compatibility mode for XP (or any OS before vista) for the library installer.![](http://oi54.tinypic.com/2i0vnfq.jpg)I tried manually registering the msscript.ocx file like described in this thread and it tells me it was successful, but trying to start the server still gives me the error.I have made sure the library files are 64 bit and not 32.Has this happened with anyone else? I would try and do a reinstall but the library doesn't have any entry in my add/remove programs area.thanks in advance***EDIT**** I was able to fix this problem by installing the library installer from here: http://www.freemmorpgmaker.com/ELIS.exe.. Still no idea why it wouldn't work the other way, but oh well.. just wanted to report back in case anyone else has the same issue.I'm not sure if having them both installed on top of each other will introduce any problems down the line, but at least it loads now. :)Also I thought I should mention my firewall (comodo) warned me the installer I linked up there was malware…
Ruins of Hell
@R0UNDEYEZ:> Also I thought I should mention my firewall (comodo) warned me the installer I linked up there was malware…That's because it installs library files into your system32, which some anti-virus picks up as suspicious behavior. I haven't used an anti-virus for 2 years now, and I haven't had a virus left. The reason we install these files is because they are used to draw graphics, play music, etc. Nearly every game/program does so, unless they write their own system for it, which is like reinventing the wheel.(We have 20,000+ users, you'd think one of them would report us if it really was a 'virus'). wargod1341
I had the same promblem but then i found out how to fix it.You don't download the x32 and x62 You have to download another program. I can't remeber what it was called but it is easy to find.
