**Introduction**

A quick update. Vaughan and I talked a lot today about the state of the engine, he needs help with editors and server work. If anyone is willing to do that, send me a personal message.

* We're going to make a platform for developers, better than anything ever done before - especially for a 2D MMO engine.
* You will be able to write plugins, scripts and everything inbetween. The engine is focused around a core that is easily expanded on using non-hardcoded methods. This means that you will not have to get your hands dirty in Visual Studio, you can if you see fit, but as a developer you shouldn't have to! Leave that to us and the other volunteers who assist in its development. :)
* I will be doing all the major features in the engine, Vaughan will be doing the core of the engine, and others will need to be recruited to help with other parts of the engine such as editors.

**Skills & Levels**

We got basic skills done which will be renamed later to something else. He has already got experience and levels working, too!

**Regions**

Maps will have spawning points called **Regions**. These are parts of the map to assign special properties to the map on the fly such as what to spawn, tint levels, and so on.
