Off topic I know, if BMP sucks so bad, why are they used for the sprites, items, and tilesets for the eclipse games?

I think it's because VB6 can't handle PNG by default, and JPEG/GIF would ruin the quality. I'm guessing tho.

Who said it sucks?

BMP is a lossless, uncompressed format which is very useful for games. It is not, however, suitable for uploading images to the web due to it's large size.

Every image format has a purpose.

I think the thing Im missing is ears, but I always run into difficulties with them.

No, you're running into difficulties realising what shape a head is. At the moment it looks like a plant in a plantpot.

I know. I can do head shapes a lot better, but I was trying to focus more on shading.

How are you going to shade a head correctly if the shape is wrong? Try make more of a marked chin, then go on from there.

I am not random, I've been here for a while. I've posted in a lot of topic, if it anyone random it's the robino guy.(scares me a little) Yes the ears thats whats missing!

the hair highlights are just a touch too light i think.  Really draws your eyes off the rest of it.

So far, my things I need to do are:
-Make less contrast of colors in the hair
-Make a better head shape

Why bother editing it? You've only put a tiny amount of work into it and it looks bad. Re-start from scratch.

Im not editing this for sure. I just halfassed this thing while killing my cows :D (Haven and Hearth)

Anyways, Ill post a new 1 tomorrow.
