Darknesslighter
Dear community,I am developing a game in the 'shadows' for a while now and it seems like it is finally going towards the BETA version of the game.Although I need some advice on what kind of Virtual Private Server I need to order, and more important: what kind of specifications are required in order to run an eclipse server?I am currently looking at the following setup:Memory: 1024MBDisk Space: 50 GBProcessor: 1 coreWindows Hyper-VAre the requirements above enough for a Eclipse Server? And is there anything else I should worry about?Appreciate your time and effort.Yours Sincerely,Darknesslighter
Xx pr0c0d3r xX
hi darknessslighter the thing is ur the one who knows best wat kind of server u need 4 ur gameoften times vps hosting services let u pick a number of "slices". wat i suggest is that u pick the lowest amount of slices and test it. while ur game is in development i doubt u will need more. the actual system requierements for eclipse origins are very low, but it scales depending on the number of players and what they are doing over how many maps. so once ur game is ready to first b played, u can find a bunch of friends and simply add slices on the fly depending on the needstl;dr that should b plenty, if not then test wat u need
Mohenjo Daro
It's enough for a lower end server, though that's all you really need if it's cheap. If you wanted to keep the server then I'd say look for a bit more ram, less space, another processor, and maybe a more well known OS. But this one would get the job done. SkywardRiver
The lowest package of Corgitech runs servers just fine.
